Complete satisfaction with this product from arrival (no assembly) to usage. High-quality materials, great battery life, appropriate speed. We live in Kansas and our 7-year-old son was aging out of his Powerwheel battery vehicles. The product gap between Powerwheels and gas-powered 'toys' is massive. Razor hit the nail on the head with this.
About This Item
Inspired from the Dune Buggies of the 70s the Razor Dune Buggy will be a practical gift for little ones who are 8 years or older. This electric dune buggy is great for rushing over sand dunes or racing through the backyard. The Razor Dune Buggy is run by a powerful battery that functions without creating much noise. This battery has a 350 watt motor with a speed limit of up to ten miles per hour. This speed limit will be fast enough fun for your kids but slow enough for safety reasons. While kids will enjoy cruising around on this dune buggy parents will appreciate the safety features such as the side roll cage that acts as a barricade. The safety belt in the comfortable bucket seat secures children so they dont fall out while racing. This Razor buggy has a variable speed thumb trigger for acceleration control. The hand operated rear disc brake and the 8 inch knobby air filled tires allows you to have maximum control over this battery powered go kart. This Razor product is produced for sale in the United States and Canada. Rates #1 to grandson
My grandson passed kindergarten and this was his present. He got on and said this is awesome! I like that he can ride it for years and not a year. He just loves it. Thank you.
Good for when kid grows out of power wheel!
We got for our 5 year old and 10 year olds. Everybody loves it. Way better than a power wheel! The 5 year old is able to use hand controls. He just cruises through the yard and visits neighbors. There is no suspension so very bumpy kids dont mind. Wish it stayed charged longer, but it is what it is. May look into getting another battery to keep the fun going.
Awesome Dune Buggy
We just opened and played with these today! We ordered 3 for all the kids (Twin 5 yr olds and a 3 yr old) They all LOVE them! Seem very durable and go just fast enough for them. The only con is that there is no reverse but once the kids get used to that, I am sure there will be no problem. Already assembled when you get it! Goes really good on hills and grass surprisingly!
We bought this buggy for our 9 year old son's birthday. He is loving it! We like it so much that we are going to purchase another one for our other son. Our only wish is that it didn't take so long to charge the battery. About 8-10 hours. We were happy how long the battery does last when fully charged. It lasts about an hour or more of continuous riding. Another treat was that the buggy comes fully assembled and ready to go. Just charge the battery and install the flag. We charged the battery the night before his birthday so that it was ready to ride. Overall, this is an awesome product and a reasonable price for the quality. :)
Would be a great gift for a 5 year old and older! Razor did a great job with it and if you want more power as they get older there is great aftermarket support! Great product that helps get the kids outside and helps make great memories with my family! My wife is 5ft 4in and loves to ride it as well
I bought this for my 6 yo son. He LOVES it, as does my 9 yo son. They zip around the yard and have a ball. Only complaint I have is that the battery life is to short. 45 minutes for 12 hours of charging doesn't see fair. The product came assembled and did not dissapoint at all. I would highly recommend it.
Hours of fun!
Gave this to my son for his sixth birthday. He is a little bigger than your average six-year-old and is very adventurous. He loves it! The first thing he got it he broke the flag off. Battery charge seems to last a while as he has been able to drive it for a few hours before it slows down.
Battery doesn't last long
Bought 2 Razor Dune Buggy's for my kids (age 5 and age 7) for Christmas. My kids love this go kart....but the battery only lasts for 25-35 minutes at most before requiring charging again. We have several Razors already.....motorcycle, scooter, drifter....and love all of them - but this Dune Buggy is the worst of all of them. I would recommend purchasing a different Electric Razor Product over this one.
2 Razor Dune Buggies FAILED
This summer I purchased 2 Dune Buggies (one from WalMart, one from Amazon). Both failed to operate after 22 - 29 hours of use. Repairs was impossible to find in my area, Cape Cod Massachusetts.
