Too flimsy for me
The product did not seem strong enough to hold the 8 or so cast iron pots that I needed it for. I could bend the oval rim without much effort. The chains and hooks that come with it are also less-than-strong. I guess I expected more... Too bad, really, because I really liked the look of it.

Great Pot Rack

Great pot rack. Love the shelf in the middle. Used different hardware than what came with it because of where we hung it but it is great. Sturdy construction, looks great. Freed up some cabinet space!

So great I bought another one!!

I have nonstick cookware and don't want it scratched. This protects my pans AND saves space in my cabinets. No more stooping to get that 'special' pan. Sold our house and new owners wanted me to leave my rack. So. . I had to buy another one. Wouldn't be without mine.

range kleen wrought Iron oval pot rack

It is exactly what I expected. I read the reviews and decided this was the one I wanted (I was choosing between 2). I am happy with it. Easy set up, has a shelf (with 1/2" lip so lids don't slide off), has plenty of hangers. I am probably maxing the 40 lb recommendation. (I have a pressure cooker hanging up there too). I also used the idea from another reviewer to put the lids on the hooks first and then the pots. It worked well (assuming you have the right kind of lids)! Very happy!

This was a GREAT find and a GREAT buy!!

So glad when I was shopping for a pot rack (after months of shopping online and in stores) that I decided to check out Walmart.com. By far the most reasonable price around. All others JUST LIKE THIS ONE were $75-$230. This was an awesome buy! It took me 45 minutes to install with a drill, tape measure and some driller anchors I bought prior to installation (because I wasnt hanging from studs). If you read the directions and use common sense YOU CAN DO IT! I love it! I use Pampered Chef cookware (very heavy duty, NOT light weight) so I need a rack that would go the distance. As you can see in the photo, there are 13 pots/pans plus 8 lids on this rack! About 65lbs. Way over the recommended weight. Just remember to follow explicit directions. And use heavy weight anchors. ENJOY!!

Just what I wanted

The size was just right, the instructions were easy to follow, the hardware was all there, the delivery was quick and on time, and if only my husband worked as well as Hayneedle, it would already be installed. Unfortunately, installation of any pot rack is a two person job. :(

Better Than Expected

The rack arrived on time. Assembly was very easy. The bonus was that it can hold pots or pans on top. Love my rack !!! I saw racks that were more expensive and they held less....this was a great purchase....and I would recommend this ..Again I just love it !!! Ty hayneedle

Amazing Pot Rack

This was such a wonderful purchase! Reasonable price, easy installation! Totally recommend!

Very Handy

I have a walk in pantry room, but it was overwhelming with all my pots and pans. This rack is great! Its sharp looking, I put my baking sheets on the top rack. Only thing is the hooks are not braced. So when you lift up on the potor pan, the hook wiggles and lifts up. But I'm completely OK with it! For the price I paid, its awesome!

Pretty Good Deal

Bought this unit to replace one we are taking with us when we move. This one was much less expensive. Installation was easy, I used two instal points in the ceiling rather than four and it hangs just fine. Doubt if you could get a better deal for the price. Only suggestion would be to use black chains as the chrome ones don't go very well with the black frame.

1. You can if you want to but we just hung the extra part of the chain on the anchor hook. Keep in mind that if you happen to move, you may need that extra length of chain.
by mockmom3
2. i just double the chains all the way around
by kimmieanntn
3. Yes. My ceiling was only 8 feet. Just use as many of the chain links that you need. In a 7' ceiling, it will probably restrict what you can put on top of the rack. Also, you have to determine how low your pots or pans hang to give you head clearance, if you have to walk under them. Mine were hung over a counter top, so it was not a problem.
by An anonymous customer
4. I have low ceilings to so I did remove the links and it worked great. The links are adjustable too though - you can either let the excess chain hang down or you can get some bolt cutters/chain snips and cut off the excess. You could even go to a hardware store and buy shorter chain and they can cut to your measurements. With my low ceilings any chain would have been too long though.
by backwoodslovinit
5. I wouldn't remove the links but you can just hang it shorter.
by MissAllyGirl
6. You won't need to remove any links, just don't use the ones that aren't needed. Nothing wrong with letting them hang free. :) By the way, the chains are only 2 feet long.
by Judithlb
7. I only looked at this for a few minutes before I took it back, but the chain is all one piece. I suppose you could cut the chains with some kind of saws all.
by KimboCisco
8. Mine are low, too; I adjusted it to fit.
by Imahappycamper2
9. Yes.
by 49moon
10. You can customize the rack to your desired length...it's a purchase that you would be very happy with!!
by Taysia06
11. Absolutely

1. The chains are about 21". I have 9' ceilings & had to hook the rack up about 7 links. So, you see, there's plenty of chain.
by Site2StoreWalmartShopper
2. Anywhere from 10' ceiling down to 8'. You make the necessary adjustments for the right hanging distance with the loops of the chains. Just make sure you have wood studs at least 16" to 24" withing the ceiling to fasten the hoops to. You might want to invest in a stud censer to make sure before you order the unit.
by Gerald
3. You can hang it as close to the ceiling as the anchor hooks will allow. You are using chain links, so they can be shortened. You will just limit what you can put on top of the rack as you hang it closer to the ceiling.
by An anonymous customer
4. There are 4 separate chains, each is about 22 inches long. I used only about 6 inches of each chain to suspend the rack so I could easily hook my pots while standing on the floor (I'm 5' 6"). I cut the chain to length with a cutting tool I bought at the hardware store, but the sales person said they would cut it for me for free if I brought the chain in (but I wanted the tool!). You do not necessarily need to cut the excess chain - you can just wind the excess around the hooks. You might want to live with it a while before trimming the chain.
by HankManic
5. The 4 chains are each 2 feet long. They were too short for my ceiling, which is 12 feet. So I had to use 4 feet chains. If you need less than 2 feet, you can just hook a link anywhere along the length and let the remaining links hang free.
by Judithlb
6. It's adjustable.
by Imahappycamper2
7. Yes, the chains that hang the unit from the ceiling are adjustable, you can hang the rack to your desired length. So, customize all u want it is really a great BUY!!!
by Taysia06
8. the chains are 24 inches each so the lowest will be 24 inches however you can shorten the chain if you want to mine is hung 12 inches from the ceiling by doubling the chail
by An anonymous customer
9. they aren't adjustable by design, but you could hang them higher just by choosing a different part of the chain where it meets the hook.
by opentofaith
10. The chains are 24 inches and you can either remove links or simply utilize as much of the chain as you deem appropriate. Each link is about one inch and welded so the old hacksaw would come in handy...

1. The chains attach at 14" on the rack and can be spaced anywhere from 16" to 24" so it sounds as though the beam is just right for this unit.
by Gerald
2. Their are 4 chains,I tied the two together onto one beam and it works great.
by tpate11
3. Yes. The load from each hook will be distributed equally. To test this, have someone hold two chains and you hold two chains with the rack suspended. Move the chains in and out, maintaining the same heighth, and you will see that the rack will stay level.
by An anonymous customer
4. yes you can
by johnpeter123
5. The chains can hang however you mount them. However, the mounting holes on the actual rack cannot be moved..
by MissAllyGirl
6. The chains are supposed to be 15 inches apart, but that's probably for aesthetic reasons. I don't see why you couldn't put them 11 or 12 inches apart on the underside of the beam. If the sides of the beam are exposed, you could probably screw the hooks into the sides of the beam and get your 15 inches of separation, if you prefer that look.
by HankManic
7. they can angel in at the top giving it a piermid look
by An anonymous customer
8. You could hang it from a 13 inch beam. It is a few inches too wide, but you could angle the chains inward and still have the stability you need.
by opentofaith
9. The attachment points are 16" and 14.5" apart respectively. It would be a relatively simple matter to drill new holes if one so desired. Keep in mind that some taper is desirable to achieve a stable platform that doesn't swing. A 1.5" taper is in my mind sufficient.
