fundamental design defect

Don't waste your money. Buy something with a better design and quality. This blade scraper could not even handle moving loose dirt across bare, flat ground. Note the adjustable pivot point for the blade has 2 bolts, one of which goes all the way down the shaft on the back of the blade assembly. Of course, the major stress point is where those 2 bolts connect the blade assembly to square extension shaft. The long bolt doesn't even come with washers. The design does not expect that bolt to be torqued, instead using a retaining pin through the bolt to keep the nut from working loose and falling off. There is nothing to prevent that cheap quality elongated bolt from eventually bending under even mild tension with the blade facing in either direction, and unfortunately, a high tensile strength bolt that size and length would VERY expensive. As a work around, I had to bend the long bolt back into shape a few times, along with applying massive torque on the nut with a breaker bar.
