Instant R/C Awesomeness
This was the absolute best R/C car that I have bought in my 30 years of playing with R/C cars. I have probably owned over a 100 R/C cars, trucks. SUVs, boats and planes in my 30 years of playing with R/C vehicles. The REMO 1621 R/C car significantly outperforms each of the other vehicles that I have owned in all categories including, but not limited to, speed, acceleration, agility, resilience, battery life, ease of use, functionality, appearance and overall fun! There is always something negative to say about any item, but I really don't have anything negative to report. Like all things, this R/C car does have parts that break and components that need to be maintained. The great thing about this R/C car is that it actually immediately boosts you into a R/C hobbyist role. There were some hex wrenches, spare body clips and a multi-socket tool included in the box, which was totally unexpected to me. I had to use these tools the second day of use since I had used my car in a very rough setting for a long period that day. There were some grass blades and small sticks that got stuck in the drivetrain and suspension, which were limiting (not eliminating) the usability of the vehicle. The tools that were included allowed me to open up the appropriate compartments of the vehicle without completely tearing it apart, the manuals and diagrams included with the car helped me identify the exact parts and configurations to pull, clean and maintain and I was able to perform the maintenance without a hitch. That is a major feat. Every other R/C vehicle that I have owned would have either just been subject to the wear and tear and significantly underperformed during subsequent uses or would have been useless after I had to unsuccessfully tear apart the vehicle to try to fix the component and reassemble it.
So far I like that it actually works,Too many toys don't ! The car is WAY faster than I expected but our 7 yr old great grandson loves that it runs all around the farm and even up a rock pile we have! (5/8 rocks, I believe)
Really like it. Its lots of fun even for adults. Its definitely fast enough to break itself.
Not too many RC cars can beat this car at this price range! It's 4WD and has differentials. The steering and throttle are progressive (proper way!) and it's pretty fast although it's not 50Km/h as advertised. It's somewhere around 35 Km/h although haven't measured. I can compare with my other RC cars. The only two downsides are that this car can't go straight. No matter what you do it steers to left or right so you can't go straight. That's one of the reasons you can't really tell how fast it can really go. Second complaint is that there are no shocks. Only springs. And the springs are so weak if you drop from even 6 inches the rear bottom hits the ground. Other than that it's a very well made car at this price. I wouldn't pay higher than $59.99 though.
Fun, Fun. My 7 year old and I love to play together. Itâs really fast, so yes, it requires younger kids supervision. If you like to play with screws and think of ways to improve the fun, it alows you to play RC hobby your way into more fun. I was looking at one RC $189.00 and got two for the price of one. I did have to raise the truck shell, it it was too low. It is on the smaller scale but is well worth my begginer self, to have fun with my son. Well cut Grass no problem. After pkaying adult supervision advised cuz it has a few hot parts after playing.
Fast and fun!
Not ideal how you have to take off the cover with those annoying medal clips. They arent easy to put on and take off. Its a daily occurrence due to needing to charge it daily. But the car itself is fast and just what my 8 year old was wishing for. A fast car that can jump ramps!
good truck for entry level, simply add oil shocks and its bike pump track ready. gave it 4 because it's not 50 km/h by far but is quick and up gradable.
Fun but dead.
The car was pretty cool. Fast! And it did some cool little tricks. The problem was the battier, even after being fully charged it died within 3-5 minute of play.
thought the car was good, my kids loved it. then it broke a week into playing with it. tried to contact someone about a return cause I bought the 2 yr warranty. no one ever got back to me
