Great little tool.
I ordered this tablet to use in my many travels...especially for flying. Since it is a tablet, it does not have to be removed from luggage to go through security. That helps with moving things along. I have used it for a couple of weeks now at home just to test out the quality, speed, etc. Most of my work is done by connecting remotely with my office computer so I don't need a large hard drive to store anything. If anything is stored, it would be on my office computer through the connection. So far this little tool works great. The keyboard will still take a little getting used to but should be fairly easy to do. I would recommend this tablet to anyone that needs a compact, easy to use, and easy to travel with working tool.

Excited Then Disappointed.
I wanted to get a small and lightweight device and when I found this Cambio I thought it would be wonderful. A 2 in 1. Just what I needed as a disabled person who spends 23 hours a day in bed. Desktop to much, tablets to limiting and smartphones to small. I immediately order it with overnight shipping. Then I realized my mistake and cannot get back to Walmart to return it nor ship it. Remember bedridden. With a income of only $805.00 I cannot buy another one for awhile. Here is a list just on the first few days. 1. Bluetooth will not receive files/pictures from Windows 10 Phone. Get a error stating receiving device does not have capability. 2. Goes to Airplane mode when started or restarted. 3. Storage: Previous version of Windows will not delete. 7.89 GB (windows.old) folder. Tried manually and within Storage in Settings. 4. Temp Files will not delete. Same issue as #3. 5. Accuweather crashes within seconds of load. No help from Accuweather. 6. Many other annoying things that do not happen to desktop or phone running Windows 10. Screen shots available on request. 7. The pictures both lenses take are unusable.

The best budget Windows 10 tablet out there!

If you're looking for a windows tablet, but aren't willing to spend very high prices for the Surface tablets, then the RCA cambio is for you. It has a usb port and mini-usb port on the left side, along with mini-HDMI, headphone jack, windows button, and the power button. The touch pad is great, though a bit too sensitive sometimes. Same with the trackpad. I usually use my wireless mouse. Despite saying up to 64gb, you can put a 128gb microSD card in this. I have a 8gb card in it for right now. On the back there is volume keys. Very handy especially when separated from the keyboard dock. There's also a reset button too, just in case things go wrong. To turn it on requires holding down the power button for about 4 seconds. You can also hold it down while on, and it'll bring up a screen asking you to shut it down. I like that! The only cons I have is the battery life sometimes depending on how much power you use unplugged, and it takes longer than I thought to charge it up. The RCA Cambio is a perfect "first computer" for a child or anyone who's never owned a computer before. At $119 this is a steal, even more so when it's $99 sometimes. Easily the best windows tablet out there. Unless RCA comes out with a better more updated version soon. I hope so. By the way, I have the blue model. It comes in blue, black, or even pink.

Hey Squirrel3d, Glad to hear you are enjoying the tablet!

RCA Cambio 10.1

I charged it up before use as instructed, when ready I turned it on, and after a few screens I was all set. entered my wi-fi info, and was online. It works really well, However, it is hard for me to read the small print.(I use the magnifier option) But thats due to my poor eyesight in general. Came with a nice sleeve/cover. Much more solid then I thought it would be. Plays netflix perfectly.I'm pleased , and a GREAT price.

Very nice laptop alternative.

This is a very nice alternative to transporting a full size laptop. Features I love about this: * Portability * Speed * Battery life * Usability * Compatibility with PC's * Portability: - I love traveling with this because it's small enough to take anywhere that I go. I can place it in my backpack, luggage or even in my briefcase without any problems at all! * Speed - As far as speed is concerned. it's NOT going to let you play WOW or LOL. But, If you are looking for something that runs like it's on nitrous-oxide. Buy yourself a gaming laptop, put 32gb of ram, a SSD, and 2-4gb graphics card upgrade into that laptop! Although, all of that will cost you upwards of $2,000. At least then, you will have the speed and graphics that you want! The down side of doing that, is your laptop will not by portable anymore. Nor is it a travel companion, simply due to its size and weight! But, If you need something for high school/college, I think this will be more than compatible. because, nowadays students turn their work in on USB drives! Not the old way (Pen/Paper!). Hmmm... I guess, I am old! :;-( * Battery: - Battery life is great on this little guy. it gives me the time I need to accomplish what I need to do or to just do some shopping online. (I believe in the product description it states a 6-hour battery life. But, Honestly, it's more like 2-3 hours of moderate to heavy use). But, that is still plenty of time to do most projects. If not, Plug it in! its not that difficult to figure out!!! * Usability: - Now, I've read some of the negative reviews about this little guy. I have come to the conclusion that, people seem to be thinking they are buying a full sized laptop! I'm sorry! But, If you want a laptop, GO BUY A LAPTOP! This is not designed "to do all of the things" you can do on a full sized computer! This is essentially meant to be a tablet. but, they gave you a keyboard just to make it easier for typing and over all ease of use! * Compatibility: - I use an external hard drive or USB drive with this tablet to transfer files to my full-sized laptop when I need to save some personal files. this leaves the hard drive on the tablet with the free space it needs for its updates and necessary files to function. this item is great for streaming Netflix or Hulu plus etc. *** My personal observations about this little guy, You will need a mouse. wireless or wired. the track pad is a bit on the small side. But a nice thing about the track pad is that there are no physical buttons! iIs all by touch! So, where the mouse buttons should be, all you need to do is tap in that area. NO more mechanical buttons to break any more. Well that's my review of the RCA Cambio 2-in-1 tablet w/keyboard. I'm not sure if this site allows it, But, if you have a question about this item, go ahead and ask me. I may be able to help!, maybe not? But, its worth a shot!

worth the money

This is my third RCA 2 11.6 & this 10.6. You can'nt find a 2 in 1 for this price or the features. Runs well and steady if you want lighting beak out you wallet. I wish someone would have stopped me from buying the nextbooks that I did last year, they are dead and gone. But these RCA's are going strong

Glad I got it.

I love the tablet and for the price it is fabulous and replaces a slower desktop. My only small gripes are i ordered the pink and beware if you are slightly crazy about certain things like me....lol The pinks dont match on the tablet and the keyboard. lol im not really that happy about that. I would have rather had one part pink and the other part black just to avoid the mixed pinks.. lol I imagine the blue and purple are the same way. The other things i do not like is the mouse pad buttons. They are poorly made. I find myself really fumbling with trying to use them. oh noooo i do not like them at all. The only other thing is the space bar and the caps lock. I feel like i keep hitting that darn caps too often and the space bar is not hitting enough or being pressed hard enough. I am a girl with small hands but wow!!! I bought my husband a version similar but more money, same brand for xmas and I like his much better. You can tell the mouse buttons are there and are like a regular laptop to use and i felt like his is easier to type on i dont know why. Its the same size. Whatever,,,, it will get the job done and give me portability and the price is good. I would not have been happy if i had spent more on it. It was $99 plus tax. If you are planning on tons of typing i would really recommend a laptop. This in my opinion would drive me nuts if i were in school and needed to write papers even though yes the size is nice for transporting in a purse. :) Camera is not good but who really uses :) ive been using for my reviews for my walmart purchases lol thats about it :)

Cambio Tablet

I read the reviews prior to purchasing and I was actually surprised when I got my Cambio. It was Packed professionally and was extremely easy to set up. It didn't take hours as some have reported. It took around 30 minutes to set up and to transfer things from my desktop. I was a little leery about having only 2gb ram but it seems to work extremely well. The only negative I have is battery charge length. Although the charge length is just about exactly as advertised--six hours. Overall I am extremely happy it. It does what I need it to do. The key board is fine and I have pretty big hands. It is not a powerhouse, but it is, so far a very good computer. I have a 64gb micro SD card installed and have a 2tb external hard drive attached for more storage space.

A little quirky but, better than I expected

After getting frustrated with my iPad 2 that has been crippled since Apple released iOS 7, I was looking for an alternative to buying another iPad and came across this 2 in 1. It arrived in lightly padded enveloped with a dented box but, fortunately, it still worked. The charger doesn't stay always connected and considering asking for a new one. After spending several hours downloading Windows updates, I was able to use the machine. I have to say, it is not bad. Definitely a lot quicker to browse the internet and do google searches than on my iPad 2. Detaching the screen from the keyboard and using it as a tablet is not bad either. It is usable but, not super responsive. However, it is good enough for casual web browsing. Battery life is decent and I like the fact it has a full size usb port, memory card slot and external mini-hdmi output. So it has exceeding my expectations for something that cost me less than $120 shipped. If you need something for browsing the web and for email, this will do just fine. For anything else more taxing, I can't really say.

Hey pcman, Glad to hear you are enjoying the tablet!

RCA Tablet

I got this for my son and the battery would not hold a charge. The main sign in screen would not change over and the screen just flickers back and forth. The product looks good but its not worth the money. We all have Samsung products and thought we would try RCA Don't do it stick with Samsung better tablet all around.

1. If it's like the one I am returning, powering on does not always work. If you don't get the red "RCA" after about 5 seconds with the supplied power adapter connected, you may have one with battery/charging problems. (Typical problem indications are a "battery" symbol indicating that the battery is dead; or, nothing at all.)
by LifeOnAString
2. On my new Cambio it turns on after holding down the start button about 6-8 seconds. Before that the screen is blank. The first thing you see is the RCA logo.
by LifeOnAString
3. Press the power button on the left side of the tablet. The button is located just above the Windows icon button.
by McLovin71
4. There will be an on/off button on the edge.
by CommunityAnswer
5. You have to hold the power in for at least 4-5 seconds to turn the unit on.
by Dch48
6. Hey Iron, To turn the unit on, simply press and hold the power button down for roughly 3-5 seconds.
by RCA Audio Video
7. Every tablet that we've bought for our kids came with an instruction card or sheet. They often leave out a LOT of desired info, but they ALL tell you the basics, such as how to turn them on! I suggest taking a minute or two to READ them! It is AMAZING what you can learn from that.

1. An external hard drive will not work with this.
by CommunityAnswer
2. Hey Chuck, Yes, A external hard drive will work with the unit.
by RCA Audio Video
3. The obvious answer is "Most " external ,USB attached drives (optical or HDD/SSD), Windows compatible of course, WILL work ,but as any tech will tell you, sometimes you find an exception. It could be the firmware code in the external device, could be a missing Windows update that was issued to address this and/or some other glitch. The tech axiom is to suspect the software/firmware first....Stormy
by Stormy
4. Go with the answer by Chuck, the RCA rep. An external HD will work (sure, there are unique exceptions for just about everything). However, note that most external HDs use USB cables and this tablet has a micro USB port. You would need a USB-to-micro USB adapter, often called an OTG (on the go) cable. They're not expensive.
by OttoDKing
5. Yes, there is a full sized USB port that works for all USB devices.
by Dch48
6. Yes. Since there is only one USB port, I bought a "powered USB hub" to use with it. To expand number of USB ports I have successfully had the following items connected, all at the same time. 1. flash drive 2. 1TB pocket drive [the small 2.5" HDDs that are self-powered, getting power from the USB cable, along with passing data on same USB cable] 3. wireless mouse [I use my RCA as a netbook, not a tablet, hence the mouse] I suggest a "Powered USB Hub" so you do not drain the life out of this unit, especially if it is not connected to it's AC adapter when using.

3. Hey Computers, Yes! You can definitely connect this to a printer to print and connect a USB thumb drive to transfer files!
by RCA Audio Video
4. Yes. Best if you buy a USB POWERED hub to go with it. Seems like 1 USB port would be insufficient for a presentation. Then you can add more usb devices, like a: 1. wireless mouse 2. wireless presentation device, like combination laser pointer and remote control for advancing presentations, like Powerpoint 3. flash drive
