Amazing Bargain
I'm in the process of starting a new business on a shoestring and I needed a netbook to use in the field. I didn't need tons of disk space, but strongly preferred it use Windows 10, have a touch screen AND a keyboard, preferably detachable, and WiFi. But they just cost too much for me at the time. I actually followed an email link from Staples, and was exploring another model that cost more and had an Android OS. Then I went searching for that and other models and ended up on Walmart.com. $99, plus tax and a 2-year extended...$146 out the door! It works great, allowing me to install decent software with features not usually found with Android. Used one of the two cams on Skype...very nice touch. Second Life virtual reality viewer worked without bombing, and that's a pretty intense software. Sometimes it's handy to use the physical keyboard...sometimes just to help balance the unit on my lap. But in the field, having it pull EASILY out of the keyboard's slot to use as a touch screen tablet similar to an iPbe adds a great dimension of versatility. My desktop has Windows 10, but now with this unit, I'm more able to use its features and appreciate the configurability of the more modern Start Menu, etc. It's a very nice looking tablet...doesn't look strange or cheesy. It doesn't have the typical pretty shiny case laptops and netbooks often have, to get all scratched up overnight, which is perfect and businesslike for me (black model). So far, I truly love it, and I'm clear it will more than meet my needs, including some "take a break" games, a comprehensive and secure database and contact management system, etc. I don't know if it would keep up with power user gamer, but I suspect it would be very adequate for most people. Cons noted to date: The touch screen isn't quite as sensitive as expected (i.e.-not as sensitive as the smart phones I've had). After pondering that, it might turn out to be a blessing by not going places not intended too often. I wonder if that's an adjustable feature rather than a con? Occasionally, it seems to go into portrait layout mode and doesn't flip back to landscape. If I pull it out of the keyboard and put it back, it does not correct its orientation issue and I'm required to reapply landscape in Settings. But that is very quick and easy to do. The speakers on it are not loud enough when turned up, requiring me to use buds, phones or perhaps a USB amplified speaker. No big deal. This little cheap tablet has far surpassed my expectations. Other people who keep track of what's available and are extremely picky, expecting huge $1000 performance at a low price, might nitpick over these things, but I'm very happy with it. One USB port is limiting, but acceptable. Also has an HDMI port and a micro-USB, expanding interfacing flexibility...so not really a con.

Money wasted
I would rate this as the worst electronic item I have purchased within the past years. I don't have too much time to spare on trying to get the thing too run. I just dumped it in the lower desk drawer after it started up once and the never again. After it updated it usually gets stuck already during the BIOS loading. I tried a factory reset and different safe start options, but I remained unsuccessful.

Great little pc.

I am looking to buy another. We use this to surf the web, work, do homework, check out the local news, and play lightweight games. I need another one now. They are great for the price and cost less than replacing the cracked screen on an older model.

Just what I was looking for.

Verified purchase

I needed the PC side for working in Word and Excel and wanted the tablet without keyboard for web browsing. The ability to have both and be pre-loaded with Windows 10 tied it all together for me without breaking the bank. Also, the ability to add storage was a huge plus. RCA was a new and unusual choice for me but so far a really good one.

Good product

Verified purchase

the order was delivered in about 3 days. Product as described. The only con I can think of is the battery life is pretty dismal. I am maybe getting 2 hours on battery. Other than that, it runs better than expected for a $100 machine. Turning into a tablet is great. I am also running an android emulator that seems to run at full speed and turns this into a Windows 10/Android machine. Best of both worlds.

Decent Product

Verified purchase

Pretty fast. I broke the screen on the second day adding velcro to the back. Screen is brittle. I bought this for a photobooth so instead of taking it back i youtubed how to do a replacement screen. Seemed easy so i got a new screen for it so i knew what to do in the future if it breaks again. I was sike it screen casts to the roku tv as a primary or secondary screen via wifi. I disabled the updates so it will stay as fast for its lifetime. Also installed all my programs and then backed up the drive image to restore ready to go. It could use an extra usb port or two or three. Probably only has one since its powerd by 5volts. I ised a usb hub bit have problems using my dslr camera and mouse and printer at the same time. So i bought a powered usb hub to accommodate the needed power to run the devices. So far it will do what i need. Photoshop take pictures and print. As long as the hardware doesn't fail i will be happy for the price.

Horrible

This tablet is so slow at 1.33Ghz speed. The ram is fine at 2GB but the storage is not the full 32GB. It shows 29GB but only 19 available to use. The update took 3 hours to download 2 Windows update and install. The WiFi speed is only 20mbps. Battery only last about 3 hours. I received an update for a driver and it messed it up and now the touch screen is not working. I performed a factory reset but did not fix the problem. System Restore was disable by default and if it wasn't been for that I could have fixed it. I am returning it back to Walmart.

Really bad build quality

Verified purchase

My brother and I both had one of these. He actually had two, the Windows version and the Android version. His Android version had a cracked screen. He dropped it so, that's not much of a surprise. The problem is that I took mine out of the box and saw a tiny scratch on the screen. The next day, that turned into a crack. That's not the worst of it, though. I decided to use it for the day with a broken screen then start realizing several other issues. The touchpad doesn't work very well and the connecting between the keyboard dock and screen is very loose so, it can come apart way too easily. The quality of the plastics is very poor. It feels like I could've scratched it up in a few days of carrying around in my backpack, despite having it in a neoprene sleeve. I ordered an Asus Transformer T100 and returned this thing to Walmart for a refund rather than an exchange, like I'd planned. If you're looking for something cheap, but good quality, then try getting the Asus Transformer for about $135 on Amazon instead. It's a much better machine.

7. If you want to erase the operating system and install one of the customized, non-official versions of Chromium OS, sure it will have compatibility with Android apps that don't run on Windows. But being that this is a Windows laptop and you're asking such a fundamental question, but one of these 2-in-1 laptops that run Android, nor Microsoft Windows. And definitely keep shopping at Walmart.

8. Since this is a Windows based tablet out of the box you will not be able to use the PlayStore. However if you run an Android emulator that should work for you. Someone left a review here saying he did just that.
