Beauty Meets Function
I recently received the Queer Eye Liam Sofa in Green Velvet. The sofa comes in one big box, is well packaged and encased in a protective cover that is easy to remove. Take care if cutting the box open as you do not want to accidentally cut into the sofa. While two people would be preferable for the task, one person can assemble the sofa. For reference: I am older and only 5'1" tall with a few health issues. I used the cardboard boxing as a protector as well as a slider to maneuver the large center section around. The directions were clear and very easy to follow. The nuts, bolts and other hardware were on a bubble card and marked clearly. I did skip using the included mini wrench and hex keys and dug into my own tools for the correct sized combination wrench and hex screwdrivers since it would be easier on my hands to utilize. It took me some time, but everything went where it was supposed to easily. Once assembly was completed, I had no problem whatsoever flipping it upright and sliding it into place. All told, this was one of the easiest pieces of furniture I have put together. I have never been a big fan of green anything, but surprisingly this sofa compliments the room I choose to place it in instead of clashing with my colors. The advertisement pictures do not do it justice. In person the combination of velvet material, the rich jewel-toned green and the modern design combine to create a luxurious presentation that is hard to not like. The finished dimensions are pretty much spot on except when I measured the seating height I came up with 16" instead of 17". As a short person, I love it as my feet sit comfortably on the floor as I am seated. The sofa may look plush but it is on the firm side. The backrest is about 18" high when seated. I find this to be the only possible concern with this sofa as tall people may find it nonsupportive. Two people can comfortably sit on this sofa. Three can fit, but over time the middle seam may prove to be uncomfortable. I have not napped on it as yet, but at 44" width when in the sleeping position there is room for one person to spread out a bit. It is wider than a twin bed but 9" slimmer than a full. Two people could fit if they really like each other or two kids with no problem. Overall, I think this sofa is put together well and meets the average price point for sofas of this type and quality. Only time and use can determine if it holds up well and continues to function as designed. I would definitely recommend that those seeking this type of seating put this sofa at the top of their list of considerations.

Nice soft fabric, but uncomfortable to sleep on
When I received this couch/futon I was excited to see it in my living room. It seemed to be the perfect and stylish thing to have for overnight guests. It arrived in a Girl Scout green color. The green is pretty bright but the velvet was of a nice quality and attractive. The style is traditional and will work for most homes. We made it into a bed which was easy if you have 2 people to pull the couch away from the wall. You don't sleep with your head to the wall, it is designed to sleep side to side. There is a crease where the bumps from the cushion where you sit on it would be one side to sleep and the smooth side of the back would be another place to sleep. You would have to be a small and shorter person to use it. May be good for children or one small person. It would be hard to use the bumpy side though. Easy to put together and very clever how they got it all into one box. Good engineering. Just made me wonder if the designer actually tried to sleep on i when it was a futon. Sorry I couldn't be more positive.

Multifuncational futon

This futon arrived in a very large, very heavy box. I think it said 114 lbs. The futon was in two sections that needed to be put together. It took a little time to put together, it was not very difficult, but plan to spend at least 45 minutes to get it done. This is a very solid futon. It is more of a couch than anything. It is a good size being at 80 inches long. It has a soft feel and is easy to recline down. I love the multiple reclining postions and that it has independent reclining postions. When the futon is flat, the side arms create a headboard and a footboard which helps to keep the pillow on the bed while sleeping. The back has extra supportive legs that fall down to support when the futon is laying flat. It is firm to sleep on but not terrible. The appearance is beautiful and I think it wil go well with a formal or a casual room.

Extremely comfortable and beautiful color of green

My review as a Walmart spark reviewer was supposed to be for the camel faux leather futon, however I was shipped the green velvet futon so my review is of this one. I'm 69 years old the box was extremely heavy so I had to have my daughter help me bring it in the house. The directions were very simple and easy to put together but because of our age it took us a little bit longer LOL. Bottom line is it's a very beautiful color green velvet. It is extremely comfortable to sleep on. However, I was thinking that it would be wide enough for two of my grandchildren to sleep on and that's not the case. The futon is 79 in Long but the sleeping area is only 70 in long and it is 42 in wide. only my nine-year-old grandson was able to sleep on it comfortably and that's fine. We love the fact that the two seats can go straight up, reclined a little bit or straight down in a laying position. All in all it is very beautiful very soft and extremely comfortable

Comfy Futon!

This futon is absolutely amazing and perfect for any room. The assembly was very easy. The sofa feels very sturdy to sit and bed is comfortable lay on. The faux leather is soft and it is not hard and stiff like some other leather materials. It can be converted from sofa, to lounger, and to a bed very easily. It is also comfort

able to sit on or lay on for long periods of time just keep pillows and a throw handy to get comfortable. I would totally recommend this product.

very nice for this price point

Nice quality, sturdy, very firm. It's clearly faux pleather, but that's fine for what it is. Pix show 6' man sitting on sofa. I'll try to update with bed photo later. it's a bit shorter than I hoped, but it's still taller than others we looked at and that's made clear in the description. The click back part is a little tricky, and it's quite firm when flat...too firm for sleeping but good for sitting. We're buying a foam topper to soften it a little for sleeping guests. There is one small 3" strip section where the foam is not completely covering the arm rest, but it's under the polyurethane and no one would notice unless they are looking right at it. You know this won't collapse on you. Not too hard to put together although there was not a video to watch for help. Still it didn't take too long. Nice product! Value for the money = 9/10 Comfort= 10 for sitting, 6 for sleeping Quality feel = 9/10 you can tell it's not real leather but it's WAY nicer than other bed sofas in this price. Zipper hidden legs under back for sleeping = 10/10

Nice Size Futon that Converts to a Bed

This Futon is well made and an attractive piece of furniture. It is 80" long; 30" deep and 32" high (height of Futon from back). Easily converts into a bed. There are zippers on the back of the sofa. Inside are sturdy legs that fold down to support the back portion of the sleeper Futon. There are also zippered 'storage' compartments underneath the Futon seats, but we do not think they are easily accessed. Good idea, but you would need to tilt the Futon to gain access. The sofa cushions are not removable. The fabric, while a soft velvet, seems to 'mark' easily. Most marks will smooth out.

Assembly: Instructions are very good, according to my spouse who is mechanically geared, but it did require quite a bit of time to put it all together. Structurally sound once all the components are in place.

I love the color, it's very comfortable and beautiful. The fo leather had a couple of nicks so I hope it holds up well. I like that it lays flat and can be used to sleep guests as well. Thanks Fab 5 for affordable furniture and the descriptions of each piece makes me smile because it sounds like Johnathon talking!

Beautiful

The color green on this Futon is so vibrant and beautiful! It matches perfectly with my window blinds. But I will let you ladies know for the ones who are married or boyfriends etc, and the single women who are good at putting things together, it's not a quickie. Have the wine ready or beer because the set up is not a 10/15 minute project. It is definitely a HONEY DO. My husband is very excellent at putting things together. He is very swift and good at building any and everything, and it took him over an hour to put this futon together. But it is a very beautiful futon. I wish it was a bit more cushiony. That is why I gave it 4 stars. It is still cozy though. It will look lovely around the Christmas holidays. With my Christmas decor, tree, lights, poinsettia. It is going to look gorgeous.

Maybe good for student dorm

Very easy to assemble with provided hardware.

Took about an hour tobassemble by myself. Directions

are easy to follow. Unfortunately, this futon is not comfortable.

Seating feels hard, almost like a church pew or old car seat. I could not imagine

being able to sleep on it. Fabric feels soft.
