More energy efficient than the microwave.
Great electricity saving item. Uses less energy than the microwave. It saves time when you need to bring a pot of water to boil for cooking pasta. I would like it to show ounces as well as liters. A smaller version for one or two cups of tea would be great, too.

YUCK!!!!
Purchased for an elderly relative. At the time I thought this was a good idea. She never used it, but during the past few weeks I been caring for her a after boiling water a few times, I found white flaky looking stuff floating in the water. I thoroughly clean the inside an two days later it back. WILL NOT USE AGAIN!!! But it heats quickly, that why it didn't get a 1-star.

I am very pleased with this choice. I love that cord is attached to the base and the kettle can be removed without disconnecting the cord. It's also easy to see the water level through the see through window. Great price for this item.

BUY IT!!!

The black one looks way better in real life than in photos! And there's nothing wrong with the boiling. Great quality for the price. I totally recommend it!

Excellent

Amazing how fast this heats a mug's worth of water for tea or a pour-over. Way faster than the microwave.

First time using an electric tea kettle. I like how it takes about 2min. for the water to heat up and automatically switches off.

Potential Improvement in This Model

I've had previous ones (white color) which lasted about 2 to 3 years. Hope this one lasts longer as it is a very useful product. Black color is very nice. It is lighter and shorter than previous models which makes it easier to maneuver. Hopefully the electronics holds up.

Value for money, might consume high power

This is the best electric kettle I ever bought. Works quickly and heats up the water uniformly. Although if you put a large volume of cold water inside to heat, it consumes very high wattage and you can almost hear the power surge sound near your electric board.

Works really fast.

I purchased this product because I got tired of my over the stove kettle. Plus I wanted something that won't take long to boil. This kettle went above and beyond. I added this to my coffee and tea bar. Now my guests can help themselves to some good tea. I didn't give it a five star because I wish the base had suction cups to hold the base. I improvised and used a silicone mat for the base to stay put. Overall this was a good buy.

Heats water quickly.

I really don't like this thing. It's very lightweight including the base. The cord for the base is short and stiff. Once the pitcher is off the base it slides all over the place. The base goes up inside the pitcher by about 3 inches, again it's awkward to removed the pitcher from the base especially when it's full of boiling water. I think I lifted high enough then it gets caught and that's not a good thing when it's full of boiling water. The absolute worst and most annoying feature of the product is the pour spout!, it's big enough but there's a fine mesh screen inside the pitcher, great idea if you don't put it down 2" below the spout so when you pour the water rushes over it instead of through it! I'd like to meet ingenious who designed that. The 2nd thing wrong with the spout is the cover has a slotted strainer over the top of the spout and I have no idea because the slots are big enough they would not hold back much and it makes for a really messy pour. Even when I poured slowly the water sort of bubbled and splashed so I have to lift the cover fully to pour otherwise it's just a big mess. If I had realized it had an exposed heating element before I bought it I would not have gotten it. The good thing about an exposed element is it heats the water very quickly. The bad thing about the element is it gets dirty and caked with minerals very quickly requiring a soak in vinegar or lemon juice or some cleaning product. In other words it's a pain to maintain. I am certain that after a good soak in vinegar I'm going to have to scrub the element with some kind of brush then rinse it a bunch of times to get all the gunk out. If you have hard water like I do this is going to be a twice a month job at least. I would not recommend this kettle. BTW the packaging looked more expensive than the actual kettle.

2. This kettle shuts off once the water has boiled, but if it is not below the minimum water level, you can easily re-boil the water to heat it back up.
