Don't worry about internet ninja wannabe door kicker comments. Nowhere even near close to the lights actual function or real world use. It's not a 200 yard shoot at night army guy light. It's not even advertised as such. For indoors in the dark, not dusk when the sun is still out and Internet ninjas test before bed time at sundown, it provides more light than needed. Isn't huge and blingy to catch on everything. You will be able to ID your target. End of story, that's all you need indoors. I've used it on varmints to 20 yards in actual night darkness on varmints. Ten lumens is an under rating.
It's low profile, the switch is easy to locate and feel in complete darkness. It is durable and has handled a lot of full power 12 gauge buckshot.
If you're serious about a useable light on a home defense weapon you'll like it. If you're putting a light on a weapon to one up the last idiot on the Internet, skip it, you won't understand what it's designed for, it's usefulness and actual utility.
