    Pretty Happy

Only real complaint is that the drawers could be deeper or they could have added more drawers at the foot of the bed; there is a lot of space under the bed that is not being utilized (about half). A minor complaint (but worked to me advantage), is the metal bars that the slats rest in is loose, and the slats move loosely. However, when I was building the bed, I dumped the instructions half way through, and later realized I made a mistake. Because the slats could move freely, it made fixing my mistake much easier than disassembling the frame. Although, the nusance of loose slats is a minor irratitation when lifting the mattress and putting on sheets. I put two twin XL memory foam 6inch mattresses and they fit good at the head and toe and fit snug on the sides (a bit tight and some pushing is required to get them to sit in place, but it looks good). The top of the mattresses are level with the edges of the head and toe of the frame.
    Thank you for your comments

When you don't pay a lot, don't expect a lot.

This is a pre-fab bed using particle board so right off the bat anyone buying this should not expect high grade furniture. The quality of the product is very well made, there is no slop in the cuts, all parts line up great. As with any particle board product, you have to be careful when you put it together. As long as you are careful, it goes together very well and relatively quickly. The instructions were ok. Could be a little clearer in some places but overall good directions to putting it together. Once put together, it was very good. The only real improvements to the design would be that they should have designed the headboard to fit flat up to the bed. There is a gap between the two which allows things to fall down and never be recovered. It would also be nice if a couple of extra pieces of hardware were included in case you broke one of the plastic pieces. Overall, very good for what you pay for.

    missing peices

Initial shipping and recieving of the product went well,HOWEVER, once it was brought home, unpacked and about 4 steps in we realized we were missing an entire bag of hardware and 4 major support beams. We immediately called the company which turned out to be in British columbia they spoke only French and some very poor english however she took our address and assured us that the packages would be shipped out the following day however it would take at least 6 days to reach us because of course it had to go through customs. WELL, 8 or 9 days go by, no package. Called company again found out that the package was not even shipped until a week after we called, asked for a manager and got left on hold for 20 minutes before someone picked up and said the manager could not talk to me. The warranty on my brand new mattress is now VOID because it has been sitting on the floor this whole time.EXTREMLY DISAPOINTED

    horrible!

it took hours and hours to put together it is made of flimsy, cheap press board the "wood" cracked and splintered when taken out of the box total garbage!

    hard to put together

I love the bed its beautiful and i love it, but it didn't come with numbers or anything on the boards. So while building it, it took a little longer to figure out which board went where.

You Get What You Pay For

I purchased this platform bed with the associated headboard (see my other review) and it is not good quality. My husband and I spent several hours putting just the bed portion together. Once you have it all together you have to square the bed with some metal bars underneath. We did that. Then when we put the drawers in, they did not close completely, i.e. sit flush with the bed. So, apparently the bed wasn't really square - or maybe my room wasn't :-) We had to push corners of the bed (which by this point is VERY heavy) and try to get the drawers to lay flush with the side of the bed (rather than sticking out 1/2 to 3/4 inch). Once we adjusted the bed so the drawers were flat, we needed to move the bed about 2 inch up to align it with the headboard. Word to the wise - DON'T TRY TO PICK THE BED UP!!!!! When we did - by the sides, we pulled the screws right out of the wood. I mean they came right out - very little force involved. Needless to say - I was not a happy camper. We bought some extra hardware to 'fix' the issue and just glued the screws back so there were no holes but this is some really cheap quality stuff!! If you need to move the bed, pick up each corner and put a furniture slider under the corner, then slide the bed where you need it to go. As is the headboard, it is made of composite wood materials and it comes in 3 boxes with hardware. You'll need tools to put it together. I'd recommend 2 people both to make the job go faster and to handle the longer lengths of wood like material :-) It took about 5 hours to assemble. None of the pieces were labeled as the instructions were labeled. For example, the instructions labeled a board 'C11' and there were no boards with any numbers or letters on them. You had to match the shape and position of the pre-drilled holes. Very inexpensive versus other beds but you get what you pay for.

    A great bed

We've been sleeping on this bed for a few weeks now and love it. The instructions are generally clear and, while it takes a little time, the bed was pretty easy to put together. It looks good, it's well-made, and the mattress supports are extremely sturdy. It's pretty heavy, so having two people to carry the boxes and shift the pieces around helps. I've seen many comments here about problems with the wood splitting or cracking during assembly. Avoiding power tools when putting this frame together should help negate a lot of those issues. The fiberboard in our model is quite sturdy but there's a chance that screws will pull out of any fiberboard if they're tightened too much. All in all this is a good-quality bed and we'd recommend it to anyone else.

    Pretty Good

The bed is a good deal. It is pretty sturdy. I weigh 200 lbs.; wife is about 170 lbs.; and the bed doesn't make any noise or creaks. I rated it 4 instead of 5 due to the drawers not opening and closing very smoothly. I had to make some adjustments to the drawers to get them to work; slightly inconvenient. One wonderful thing about this bed: I was able to take a lot of keepsakes and other things I won't be using for the next 10 years, and store them in the wasted space under the bed. Once you buy the bed and are putting it together, you will understand what I mean. It takes some creative forethought to figure out how to do this but it is very worth it. I was able to empty 3 large Rubbermaid storage containers into the inside of this bed.

not bad, would recommend. few minor issues

didn't come with all the hardware. slats fit loosely and rattle. overall, worth the money. just make sure you have a few extra screws laying around and use your best judgement and add a few more in the obvious places to tie everything together tighter.

    Nice bed for the money.

Good quality and actually was easy to build. It did take over an hour, but I built 95% of this by myself. The instructions are clear and have helpful 'Hints' to keep you on track. The only issue I had, was that 1 drawer does not close fully (only @3/8" out). My wife didn't even notice this. The drawers give so much extra storage and are very wide. It holds our mattress and two tall adults just fine. Purchased the matching headboard w/ the cubbie holes. Matches perfect and looks great with room for cell phones, alarm clock and more. For 'assemble your self' furniture and at this price, I am very happy.
