Only real complaint is that the drawers could be deeper or they could have added more drawers at the foot of the bed; there is a lot of space under the bed that is not being utilized (about half). A minor complaint (but worked to me advantage), is the metal bars that the slats rest in is loose, and the slats move loosely. However, when I was building the bed, I dumped the instructions half way through, and later realized I made a mistake. Because the slats could move freely, it made fixing my mistake much easier than disassembling the frame. Although, the nusance of loose slats is a minor irratitation when lifting the mattress and putting on sheets. I put two twin XL memory foam 6inch mattresses and they fit good at the head and toe and fit snug on the sides (a bit tight and some pushing is required to get them to sit in place, but it looks good). The top of the mattresses are level with the edges of the head and toe of the frame.
