Hi devV, it's a blend of maple, cherry and hickory. Just the right mix to produce a flavor that's pleasing with most types of cooking.

As you will see down the list of answers this is maple, cherry, and hickory.  I love this blend in my Pit Boss 700FB for &#39;everyday&#39; smoking/grilling.  It adds a light, very palatable smoke flavor that is good for any food.  I prefer mesquite for briskets to drive in more smoke flavor (I grew up in central Texas, so mesquite is how its done) but for most meats, veggies, pizza, etc, this blend is fantastic and no one ever complains the food is &quot;too smoky&quot;   I plan to experiment with Applewood for pulled pork, but otherwise this blend is, well, just dang good.

Hi RAC, BBQ pellets are best stored in a dry place. Keep them off the ground if there is a potential for it to become damp. If the pellet bag is pierced then we recommend transferring the contents to a storage container with a lid that can be sealed, especially if you live in a humid climate. Avoid over handling the pellets to help maintain their composition. And enjoy!

I always fill my hopper on the smoker and put the rest of the pellets in a 5 gallon bucket with a good sealing lid, doing it keep the wood dry and it&#39;s easy to control.

Anywhere dry, I use a tub with a tight lid...........

I just stack them off the floor in the garage or on a heavy duty rack.  Once I open them I put them in a sealed container.  You can use the air tight dog food containers or store them in a 5 gallon buckets with a lid.

i keep them in a plastic bin with a good air tight seal and they seem to keep just fine.  just need to make sure you have no moisture able to get to them

BBQ wood pellets won't burn in a charcoal grill as they require a controlled feed to maintain their burn. But we do encourage you to try a pellet grill if you get a chance, the flavor is fantastic.

These wood pellets to me are the exact same as the trigger wood pellets. A fraction of the cost and you get a larger bag. I would definitely recommend anyone using a wood pellet smoker to go to Walmart and buy theirs.

I'm new to pellet grilling so thought I'd start with a blend. Have not been disappointed. I use apple chips with my traditional smoker, so this blend is a nice change in flavor.  Pellets are solid and burn nicely. Haven't had any problem keeping the grill at 320 even in 45 degree weather.
