The Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag Vanilla Flavored Frosting is the familiar vanilla frosting that we all know and love from Pillsbury; however, the bag, makes frosting anything easy! One of our favorite breakfast items is blueberry-filled crescents. What makes a fruit filled crescent better than topping it with frosting! The bag makes spreading and storing leftover frosting easier! With the bag, you can make decorative flowers and such; but even the most uncreative husband can make beautiful blueberry-filled crescents for Mom on Mother's Day! Add a side of bacon, and well, this Mom was very pleased with her treat! My husband had to say having the bag to make something look “fancy” was a lot less intimidating than trying to make a flower or a decorative design. The quality of the frosting is the same Pillsbury frosting that they have been making for years. The bag is very easy to use, and it is very easy to store for further use in the future. The Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag has enough frosting that you could frost a cake or cupcakes easily. If you're using it for making your breakfast crescents a little fancier, it'll last quite a while, but you'll enjoy the frosting as well as the ease of the bag for a long time after using it! After trying this filled pastry bag, I would never try frosting a cake or cupcakes by hand with a knife again.

Filled Pastry Bag Makes Everyone a Pro!
I received this product to review and must admit it is worth it. The bag is simple to use, easy to squeeze and works very good. It's convenient for those that don't have the time or even forget to purchase bags or for those that just want something simple to use without any mess. I'd recommend to my friends and family.
Like a Pro!
This was so easy and so delicious. I've never had an easier time frosting a cake. This was almost as easy as nuking a container of frosting and just pouring it on a cake.
You just open the box and take out the pastry bag. No mixing or filling the bag is necessary. That's half of the messy process omitted. Squeeze the frosting down, twist the top of the bag and start frosting. We didn't try anything special this time, but next time we're gonna get fancy. Clean up was simple. Just toss the empty pastry bag in the trash. Nothing to wash. No muss no fuss.
We hope that Pillsbury makes all the different flavors available in Walmart. The vanilla frosting was great, but I need chocolate, cream cheese and some fruit flavors like lemon and strawberry.
The bag was very easy to maneuver. The taste was delicious. My granddaughter and I had some fun with it, decorating our own cakes. Whether or not it's for fun, I recommend this product.
Best of Both Worlds
I prefer chocolate but I decided to try vanilla flavored. Opening it I pulled out a full size piping bag with a standard sized plastic star tip. As you would do if you were filling your own piping bag, this bag is only 3/4 full. This gives you room to twist the top to get all of the frosting to the bottom of the bag. The tip is protected by a plastic seal, which I like, to keep the tip clean until you use it. Like all frosting, it is shelf stable until you open it. Then you have to refrigerate it. I simply put the pastry bag into a Ziploc bag and refrigerated it until I decide to use it again. Actually I decided to freeze it after a couple of days since I don't eat vanilla frosting much. Hopefully it thaws well.
I tried mine on some freshly baked homemade vanilla cupcakes. As I piped I found it rather thick so it was a bit of a struggle to get it out, but it was not that big of a deal. You may want to practice before decorating something for a party to get used to how much pressure to use. The frosting tasted like it should and the texture was as it should be. You are getting the best of both worlds with this product if you don't have your own pastry bags.
