Good, not perfect

So let me preface this with "nothing is perfect" That said, this is a very good electric shaver in the price range. My biggest complaint is the trimmer detachment. Call it lazy if you wish but tracking it down and switching mid shave is not as convenient as the flip up attached trimmer. This shaver is the easiest to clean by far! Read up on the warnings so your expectations are just right. You absolutely need to allow your face to get used to it before you can/ should make a valid judgement. As far as the shave goes, I am satisfied. It's about as good as my last $35.00 shaver. Why did I change? At 5 years that old thing couldn't hold a charge long enough to finish the job and now they don't make them anymore. Hope this helps you decide, and good luck!

If it lasts its a good product

I like the shaver. It does a good job though not great. It seems a little more difficult to handle than previous Norelco shavers I have used. The one thing that worries me is if it is going to last. I don't care for the way the head comes on and off. It just doesn't look like it will be very durable. I could be wrong but that is my impression. For a part that is constantly going to be removed and replaced for cleaning and to use the trimmer I expected more. All that said if I'm wrong and it does last then it is a good produce. Only time will tell.

Another great shaver from Philips

Excellent shaver, 9 of 10 One thing I don't like - it's a trimmer. I think it should be build in, exactly like designed an old style Philips shavers.

Works Great but Missing some Accessories

I ordered this shaver for myself for Christmas. When I opened the package I realized that an accessory, the plastic cover for the shaving heads was missing. The manual included with the shaver is for the S5290 shaver. It mentions that there should be a plastic cover and also mentions that there should be a shaver head release button. Well there is no shaver head release button. I have to stick my fingernail between the blades and the rest of the shaving head in order to pry it open everytime I want to rinse out the heads. VERY INCONVENIENT! As for how it performs...so far so good. It shaves great. I just have to be careful with the heads since I don't have a protective cover. I also have to leave my fingernails long in order to pry the blades from the rest of the shaving head. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Philips Norelco SW6700 shaver

The shave it gives and the design of the razor itself is very good. I rinse both the shaver and cutting head out with water after every shave to keep it clean. It is cumbersome though to pull the shaving head off the razor. No where to get a good grip on the shaving head. You must perform this task also when you want to switch over to the trimmer head but you must go a step further. You must remove the entire head assembly by pulling it away from the motor housing. You feel like your breaking it. My first charge of the battery lasted me about two weeks.
