Philips Avent Single Electric Breast Pump offers the comfort and convenience of fast, easy pumping at the touch of a button. It features 3 expression settings, all of which let you sit back and relax while the pump does the work. The pump features a soft massage cushion with textured petals intended to help gently stimulate milk flow by mimicking your baby's natural suckling patterns. For additional suction you can use the Power Cushion included. Unlike breast pumps that only operate properly when you lean forward, the our pump allows you to sit comfortably upright as you express, while the pump's angled neck lets milk flow naturally from breast to bottle. When you are able to relax, you can produce more milk. The breast pump has an uncomplicated design with a few, lightweight parts that are easily assembled and are dishwasher safe. You can also use it on the go with 4 AA batteries (not included). The collection container that connects to the pump also works as a bottle with the included natural breast-shaped nipple. The Philips Avent Single Electric Breast Pump is backed by a 2-year warranty. Replacement Massage Cushions are available in 19.5mm, 25mm and Power Cushions in 27.5mm.

For any mom whether exclusively pumping or not
I bought this last month and so far so good. It's easy to assemble and although it is loud at night for my husband sleeping next to me...it's worth it. It came quickly and The price is competitive with Amazon so I loved that. I wish Walmart offered the one with a case so I can keep it out in the open anywhere discreetly. But overall an excellent product and I'm happy.

I've been using this pump for a little over two months. If I could return it, I would. Often, after dissembling to clean, I can't get the thing to pump properly again. I find myself constantly adjusting the parts in order to get proper suction. I could live with this, however, even though it is annoying, since I always manage to get it working eventually.. The worst part of this pump for me is the leaking. Milk is constantly dripping out and getting on my clothing. No matter how careful you are while using this, there is always a mess. Also, the pump does not screw on tightly to the bottle, no matter how hard you tighten (this seems to be a problem with avent bottles in general.) If you put the pump down and it accidentally tips or if milk gets too close to the top of the bottle, you have a huge mess on your hands. I'm sure there are better pumps out there. I would not recommend this.

Small but effective

A big thank you to the WeeSpring Parent Panel for giving me to opportunity to test this pump in exchange for my honest review. I was pleasantly surprised by this single electric pump. This is my 4th baby so I have utilized many different pumps throughout all of my years of breastfeeding and pumping. I have used everything from manual pumps to hospital grade pumps and everything in between. I was hesitant at first about this pump because I thought I would dislike only being able to pump one breast at a time. It ended up being quite the contrary. This pump is very lightweight and compact which makes it very east to throw in the diaper bag and take with you. Also the compartment for batteries is very easy to access without any extra tools which makes it extra convenient for people who are on the go. I currently stay home with all of my children so my baby is mostly breastfed which means I only need to pump in combination with feeding her which is why the single pump worked out perfectly. I was able to easily pump one side while she nursed on the other. The angle of the cones on this pump made it very easy to stay sitting upright as I do while nursing my baby and not have to worry about leaning forward to pump. The cones with this pump had very soft inserts with "petals" on them that helped to stimulate your breasts to let down milk much like a baby does by massaging the breast with its tongue. This pump was painless to use and very effective with the amounts I was able to produce during very short pumping sessions. It has a let down mode that you can use until the milk starts flowing and then has 3 levels of suction that you can used based on your preference of how much force you want it to pull with. One thing that really stood out to me about this pump after using so many different brands was how quiet it was. Most of the pumps that I have had experienced were so loud that I couldn't even stay in the same room as my baby or husband while they were asleep or they would wake up but with this pump no one even knew I was pumping. Another great feature of this pump is that you can pump directly into the bottle that you are going to feed baby with so you don't have to worry about transferring milk or washing extra bottles. The pump is very user friendly, easy to set up, not many parts to wash, not to mention they can go in the dishwasher if you want, and very effective for such a compact design. My baby took to the included natural bottle very quickly and didn't seem to have any trouble with swallowing extra air when drinking from it. This has definitely become my go to pump and I think it would make for an excellent baby shower gift or a perfect registry item for an expecting mom with plans to breastfeed. Works like a charm!

Purchased this pump for myself, and I love it. I rented the Medela one from the hospital at first, but much prefer this one. Reasonably priced, and pumps very well! I'd totally recommend this to everyone.

Philips Avent Single Electric Breast Pump

I had some hesitation when I began using the Philips Avent Single Electric Breast Pump as I've only had experiences with hospital grade breast pumps, and I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. First, I will note this pump is extremely comfortable. While hospital grade pumps are great, they lack on comfort. Next, The pump is very easy to use, and clean (which can be a deal breaker for me). I know some women prefer a double pump, but I m used to using a single pump so that never bothered me. It's very small, so this I can easily tote this around on my commute to work. I exclusively pump and have no issues with this, and customizing your preferred settings is a breeze. My LO seems to be very happy with the natural bottle, and I am happy with how easy it is to clean! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this awesome electric breast pump!!

Worse Than Hand Expressing

The performance of this pump has gone downhill since my first use. I'm increasingly getting less and less milk, and this morning, after using the pump for about 3 months now, I got .2 oz from one breast using the pump and another .7oz hand expressing after using the pump. I shouldn't be getting a better performance from my own hands! What's the point in using the pump?

Let Down (no pun intended)

I was sent this pump to try out by the WeeSpring Parent Panel, and while I wanted to love it, I was disappointed. As an exclusive pumper (going on 10 months now), an effective breast pump is very important to me. I was immediately drawn to this pumps sleek design. I pump often throughout the day, so my pump is often out and this pump was small, and easy to look at. It was also SO quiet. I loved being able to hear the TV or someone talking to me while pumping. It was easy to set up, and even though there seemed to be quite a few different parts, they were all easy to clean. The natural bottle included with this pump was well liked by my daughter which is always a bonus. BUT despite these, the pump was very ineffective for me. The suction was not very strong, even on the highest setting, and did not draw as much milk as my other pump. I had to pump for 20 minutes to get half of what I usually would get in that amount of time. While I played around with the settings, I was unable to efficiently express the amount of breastmilk I need. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to recommend this pump. If you rely on pumping to feed your babe, this may not be the most effective pump for you.

Poor quality

This was bought back in June, I would pump for an hour and get less than an ounce. Terrible, terrible quality pump. Save yourself a headache and don't purchase this product!
