This is my favorite set. I got this for my second child and am giving one to my sister. These bottles don't require a bunch of pieces and are easy to clean. My babies both took to them with breastfeeding.

Terrible bottle set
This set comes with 1 newborn Soothie pacifier, 1 bottle brush, two 9oz bottles with “2” medium flow flow nippes, and two 5oz bottles with “1” slow flow nipples. The Soothie: This is my girls’ favorite type of paci. It’s one piece, soft silicone, and easy to clean with nowhere to water to get trapped. We discontinued using it because Baby A grew in some teeth, so it’s no longer safe for her, but for toothless babies this is our number one choice for pacis. Bottle brush: It’s got a really wide head. Like, it doesn’t actually fit in some of my other bottles. It cleans these bottles, sure, but I have several brands, and I have no use for a bottle brush that only fits in some bottles. The bottles: A baby bottle must please two audiences to be a winner: baby and parents. If the baby doesn’t like it, it doesn’t fly. For my twins, Baby A tolerated these bottles. Sort of. She is learning to hold her bottles herself and these are hard to grab. She would drink from it only if I held the bottle for her. Baby B refused them entirely. From the parent’s perspective, these bottles were a pain. They don’t have a lot of parts, just the bottle, nipple, collar, and lid but they’re very wide. The nipples so wide that they don’t fit side by side in my dishwasher caddy. The collars barely fit in the caddy. Four nipples and collars fills the thing, when I can get 8 nipples+rings of competing brands in there. Since we go through 12-16 bottles a day (twins!), we have to handwash them, which is a major disadvantage. The bottles are so wide that we can’t fit two of them in the bottle pocket of the diaper bag. The measurement numbers on the side of the bottles are hard to read, with US and UK ounces listed right next to each other. At 3am, with a screaming baby or two, and without my glasses? Impossible to read. And the death knell: in the 9oz bottle, there’s not enough headroom to actually mix formula, which I found out the fun way. While out of the house, I filled the bottle to 8oz of water, then dumped a pre-measured cup of 4 scoops of powder in. It filled the bottle and overflowed and formula powder went everywhere. In order for these to work for formula, you need to add one scoop of power, stir/shake, repeat 3x, which takes far too long. If I can’t easily mix formula in these, I can’t use them. Verdict: Avoid. I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

All the necessities!

This is such a great gift set. It includes 2 - 4 oz. bottles which are perfect for younger babies that aren't eating as much at a time and also 2 - 9 oz. bottles for when your baby starts wanting more per feeding. Also included is a soothie pacifier which is just like what baby is given in the hospital and a bottle cleaning brush. My 4th child was the tester of this set. At 5 months old she is mostly breastfed and occasionally takes a bottle.

The nipples on these bottles are great for breastfed babies as they are wide at the base and very soft, mimicking a breast. My baby had no trouble latching onto and drinking from these bottles and she didn't seem to swallow much air which I attribute to the air vent in the nipples. The smaller bottles have slower flow nipples on them (1's) and the 9 oz. bottles have a bit faster flow (2's) although they are interchangeable if you find your baby prefers one flow over the other.

The soothie pacifier is a pretty green color, perfect for girls and boys alike, and is made from hospital grade silicone which is BPA free and easy to clean since it's all one piece. It can even go in the dishwasher.

The bottles included in this set are very easy to clean especially with the included bottle brush. There are only 3 parts to them, the bottle, the nipple, and the ring that holds the nipple on. The brush is slightly curved making it very easy to reach all the corners of the bottles and it very durable. It has bristles instead of sponges like some other bottle cleaners so makes it much easier to keep it clean and keep bacteria away.

This would be an excellent set for any expecting parent to add to their registry as it has all the essentials for bottle feeding their baby. It would also make a perfect baby shower gift because it is a very useful present and comes in a box that would be very easy to wrap for the perfect presentation. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product to test with my baby. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Natural feel made transition from breastfeeding easier for MOM!

I exclusively breastfeed until my little one was about 6 months old and then I got a bad case of mastitis and we had to start supplementing with formula, which honestly, was probably harder on me than it was my baby. We tried a couple different bottles, and I received this product from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I liked the simplicity of the Avent Natural bottles - way less pieces to wash. Also, the nipple and top of the bottle area more closely resembles a breast, which made me feel a little better when feeding my baby since it was a difficult transition. It's nice the set comes with a bottle brush, because this one is curved a little and gets the sides of the bottle better than my standard bottle brush. My only complaint would be that because the bottle is so wide, it doesn't fit in my diaper bag's bottle sleeves - but that could also be poor design on the diaper bag's end. Overall, this was a nice little set and would definitely make a good gift for a new mom!

Great set for new parents!!

My son loved this set - the bottles are sturdy, easy to clean and babies love them! Hard to beat this set as a great starter gift for new parents. These pacifiers are the only ones my son will use - they are very affordable and last.

Note- i received this to review for my honest feedback [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We got this set for our baby, and it's been really nice to have. In the past, our older children would have problems changing their nursing styles when we switched between breast, pacifiers, and bottles. With this set, all the nipples seem more uniform, and (since everyone is a little different) at the very least, the pacifier and bottle nipple are basically the same. So that's helped streamline things and help eliminate any confusion for our baby, and our friends' and families' too. The pacifier eliminates the bulge at the tip that other pacifiers have which, yes, keeps the pacifier in their mouth but can lead to years and years of needing that pacifier to sleep. So no worries here. It's there when the baby needs it, and then they just sleep without it. The bottle is easy to hold and clean, which has always been a pet peeve of mine. Everything is very well made with safe plastics and silicone, and it all just seems to last and last, well beyond the time our baby will need it. The entire set makes a great gift for baby showers, too. I received this product from the weeSpring Parent Panel.

First time mom

When I became a first time mom in April of 2018 I didn't have a clue about anything. My mother gifted me my first set of Philips Avent newborn baby starter kit and it was the best thing! It made feeding my son so much easier as I wasn't able to breastfeed for no more than 3 weeks. I was less stressed and the bottles were so easy to clean and keep organized. With out a doubt I would 100% recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Starter Kit

This set is a great addition to a first time parent's baby registry. We jumped from bottle to bottle trying to find what our little one would take. We found it easy to transition him from the bottle he was accustomed to and try out the Avent bottles. The bottles come apart easily are a quick clean. The bottle brush that comes with the kit works great, I just wish that it had a mechanism to make it stand rather than laying flat in terms of drying. The soothie pacifier was a no-go for us, as it was difficult for our son to keep it in his mouth. Granted, he is used to using the same pacifier he has been, so that may just be a preference issue. I would certainly give this as a baby shower gift, since it has all of the components to get you ready for bottle-feeding. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for letting us test this product out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Does anyone know the size of the nipples on these bottles? Just bought some and not sure if they have the right size of nipple on it for a newborn.
