I got this to try for free. I absolutely love it. The colors are perfect watching Tv shows and movies. We also play video games on it. The graphics are phenomenal. And the colors are perfect. We have this tv set up in our bedroom. It's the quietest in the house to watch Tv and play video games. We have a subscription to Netflix also so on days off we binge watch alot of shows. FUTURE TV. LOVE IT
I am so in love with this tv. this are great have alot of feautures. smartest tv. Pictures are so clear, super HD. I connected My Netflix, Vudu account and can watch here automatically from My TV. What I like about this most of all is I can connect my phone through the TV and watch youtube wirelessly by Bluetooth and most incredible is even when I close the youtube app on my phone, the video is still play on the tv and I can do something else. I am so happy with this TV. So very light and so thin I can transfer it to other stand without any worry. very easy setting and remote button have Netflix and vudu cloices. Happy with my purchase
I am happy with my purchase. Good TV for the price. Not a fan of the table feet. They seem a little small. But tomorrow I hook it from the ceiling using chains. I highly recommend mounting on wall or hanging the TV from the ceiling with chain. I had one fall over last week off a table of course it broke. So I will never place on table.
This model has a great picture. Very detailed with good color. But the sound is horrible. It's like the old transister radio sound. But hooked to other speakers through a reciever, it's fine. I've had mine for about a year and a half, with no issues. It was a gift from my son, who purchased it at Walmart .
It's totally outstanding detail
I've never seen such definition of all colors before, this 4K Ultra HD is more than I've ever experienced in a HD TV. And the sound quality is awesome. Just a small problem with understanding how this Philips 5000 series really works, but that's minor because as I always say "It's a work in progress System."
Good picture, but problems with sound/audio
This product has very good picture quality, however the sound is distorted at times. Voices sound as if they are coming from inside of a tin can, and there is occasional "feed-back". I've tried changing the various sound settings, but nothing seems to help. The functions of the various settings are not well described or explained in the manuals which makes it more difficult to resolve this problem. I will try to contact customer service for help in the next day or two. I am concerned that there may be a "bad" speaker.
Volume stuck on 100
After a year and a half of having our 43 inch tv. The volume goes up to 100. Couldnât use the remote to turn it down. Had to turn doen in the back. Then it started going down to zero. I unpluged it for about an hour the bolume was still uo to 100 and i couldnât do anything with the remote. Took batteries out and put back in and still nothing. We tried everything and the vilume is stuck on 100.
Audio issues within a year
We really wanted to like this TV because of it's great price and features. However, in less than a year of normal use, the volume would go down to zero on it's own. Troubleshooted to see if it was the remote (took out battery) and did a reset of the TV, but it still would encounter the same issue.
Customer service was actually pretty helpful and sent a replacement but unfortunately, they only send "refurbished" TVs which was an automatic red flag but we didn't have a choice. Unsurprisingly, the replacement (model number: R43PFL5603/F7) was in poor condition. The back light around the edges of the TV on a black screen was warped/wavy and pretty distracting. Also, the default color settings were off and no amount of tinkering in the visual settings would fix it. (Wasn't a problem on our original TV). Lastly, the TV would have problems turning on. Absolutely, ridiculous.
Worked with customer service again and they're sending ANOTHER "refurbished" TV and it's currently on it's way. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping for a working TV this time, but considering 100% of Philips TVs we've ever had we're substandard, it's not looking good.
taking it back tomorrow, absolutely hate this tv.
Terrible sound. Very muffled. Tried different sound configurations for days and they all sound like crap.
