    Safe dog

We own a 40lb German Shepherd puppy. At 5 months old she is very strong and athletic. This tie out is a fantastic addition to our plethora of dog needs. Very easy to install between two of our trees, where she can exercise or just chill out in the shade. We put water bowls at the end of the line just close enough so she can drink but not tip them over. We highly recommend and love the colored red plastic covering so it's easy to see if it's all intact. Great price great product

    Broke after 6 months. Dissapointes

Piper is a 9 month old, 35 lb sharpei/redbone and after 6 months of using this lead, she snapped it. Like a twig. My parents recommended this to me because they used one for their mastiff, so I figured it be reliable. I guess not. I am very dissapointed Piper is NOT a big dog. I cant leave her in the house when I leave , so I need an option to leave her out with room for her to run and play. ( I have no fence. ) I came home to her wrapped around our porch and the tree. If you have anything bigger than Pomeranian, don't get this!

    Good Value For The Price

For the money I don't think you can beat this item. I found it easy to install but I did need to buy some extra hardware. One item I bought was a turnbuckle which allows for tightening the cable and made installation that much easier. I spend less than $15 for extras. Keep in mind that every installation is different and some will not need any extras. I found all my extras at my local home center store. The system comes with a 10' runner cable suitable for a large dog. I have a small dog and felt this was too heavy for her. Instead I used spring loaded climbing shackle to attach to the trolley and then added a 15' retractable leash. My dog loves it and she doesn't get tangled in the tethers. To sum it up, this is a good buy for the price, versatile, and easy to install. Compared to other options like a fence or electronic fence this trolley system is a real money saver. Most important, my dog loves the freedom it provides.

    Working as expected

I have had this product now for a couple weeks and it seems to be working as expected. It was fairly straight forward to install and I didn't need any added materials. I was a bit worried that my spastic dog would defeat this system like she has the fence but it has held up and kept my dog contained. The coiled lead seems like the best feature and works well. I wouldn't leave a dog on this for any extensive period of time but it's great for 20-40 minutes to get her out of the house a bit when we are not going on a walk. The only issue with it is the inability to get the line nice and tight. I know you can buy something that will do that but I decided to just wrap the line around the tree (on one side) and over the line to pull it tight and go back around the tree and repeat that a few times with the slack. It seems to work well enough.

    dog loves it

perfect trolley for my 80lb lab. he is pretty strong and this trolley does the job. he has enough room to run around and not get tangled up because of the coil lead. plus cable does not drag on the ground so it should last a real long time. the length also turned out perfect for my needs 50' was too short 100' way to long. i feel a lot better leaving him outside knowing he is secure and is not going to get tangled up. couldn't recommend it more.

Good Trolley for a Medium-sized dog

We needed a way to confine a very energetic beagle when the kids wanted to play in the yard. This is working out great so far. The main cable line is sturdy and kept off of the ground. The part that hooks to the collar is coiled, so doesn't get tangled up. The wheely part is stable and stays on the cable really well, even when the dog jumps around. The dog has a pretty good range of motion, while giving the kids the freedom of most of the yard to play in. A great value!

    overhead cable dog run

I bought this cable as a replacement for an old cable that snapped. This kit comes with everything needed for installation. I don't know how they can sell it so inexpensively. It would cost triple to by all the components piecemeal. The 60' cable is coated with red plastic to prevent rusting and make it more slippery and a shock/spring is already attached on one end. The 10' drop lead has a pully and clasp on it and is the same coated cable. It comes with three cable clamps, plastic bushings, and two anchor screws. I use it for a small passive dog and it's ideal for her. Probably would suggest something heavier for any dog over 35 pounds. Very good quality and value.

Good sturdy product, easy to install

I do not have a fenced in yard and wanted something with which to allow my beagle some outdoor time without the risk of him running off or getting tangled up. I bought this and ran a run from a large oak tree to the back of my house. It was easy to install and works great. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the actual lead part comes coiled very tightly and pulls like a spring which is uncomfortable for the dog. I had to attach a longer, straight leash to it to compensate for that.

good quailty but didn't come with some hardware..

comes with just what you can see cable and coial cable and the hook to attache to collar but nothing to attach it to a tree with..

    Worked for a while

I bought this for my puppy 3 months ago. He is a 6 month old lab mix. It worked great up until today. He was able to snap the line about a foot above his collar, he ran to try and chase a car and the line just snapped. If you have a hyper dog who runs and jumps around a lot, then this is probably not a good pulley line for you.
