The fire is medium-hot if you can hold your hand there comfortably for 3 to 4 seconds). 3. Place frozen tenderloins on rack directly over fire; cover and cook 5 minutes. 4. Turn and cover again. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes more, until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork and a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part reads 170 degrees F.
