Having a new baby is very expensive, and the search for the right formula is not always simple. My recent search was costly and confusing. I would pick the name brand formula, because of just that the name. I would wait for it to go on sale and buy what I could and let me tell you the money spent was ridiculous. Standing in the formula aisle can be over whelming, I want the very best for my baby, so reviewing all of the different formulas was a must as a new parent. We found Gerber Good Start Gentle, and my lil one was doing well. Until, one morning NO milk so off to Walmart we go. I get to the formula aisle and NO Gerber, I panicked a bit and began to read as I was pressed for time and there it was PARENT'S CHOICE "TENDER", compare to "Gerber Good Start Gentle." I said to myself it's cheap and I want loose just for letting my lil guy try it, Did I mention CHEAP!! 32oz for under $20.00 compared to the Gerber 32oz for $30.00. I know it's only $10.00 but that was a pack of diapers and wipes. Needless to say my lil picky eater took to the Parent's Choice like he had not missed a beat. THANK YOU, Parent's Choice, just wish I had seen you sooner 100 bottles ago.

Better than "gentle"
My son began having constipation troubles when we switched him from breastmilk to formula. We've tried 3 other types of formula (the two big name brands and also parents choice "gentle") but he continued to have trouble. I finally read online how gerber formula has 100% whey protein (no casein) that is better for reducing constipation. Then I found this formula which also has 100% whey protein and now his tummy troubles are no more.
Better then goodstart
My baby does better on this then the name brand formula. It is a little different in texture and color and when you mix it is a little more "gloppy" but has very little bubbles or foam. The transition was pretty easy. I made the transition slowly mixing both. He spit up more and had a couple weird poopy diapers, but after a couple weeks he hardly spits up, he doesn't cry when he poops like he did on goodstart. He's more regular and just a happy guy! He's two months old and I'm really glad we made the switch!
Like most of the other reviews, my grandson loves this formula. Daughter was buying the "name brand" for constipation issues, but I told her about this. Imagine my surprise when she said it was not in the store near us. So I ordered some online and my 5 month old grandson doesn't mind it a bit. No more constipation problems either. He is happy and we are happy with the difference in price. So much more affordable. Thank you Walmart for having such a great product in your Parent's Choice line up.
Helps with newborn constipation
Our newborn was having such a hard time pooping and when she did it was pasty and she would scream. Her doctor recommended Enfamil Reguline, which worked but was so expensive (and had no generic version). I read about this and after a few days she was doing so much better! I just ordered the 4-pack as we plan to keep using this.
