I have a 46 inch 1080 Plasma Panasonic and it has a SD slot to view photos, video, etc, from a SD card. I am looking at this to replace a 50 inch Magnavox 1080 plasma in our family room and was wondering if it had the SD slot also. I hope so.

  • A. The Panasonic TC-P60U50 has an SD slot. I have no idea if the Magnavox does or not. Do your homework. The technical specifications are readily available anywhere that sells these TVs.

  • A. Put simply, yes. http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/panasonic-tc-p60u50/4505-6482_7-35472893.html From that review: "The inexpensive Panasonic TC-PU50 series in its superb picture quality surpasses many TVs costing hundreds more. Its black levels can get as deep as any but those of the very best plasma TVs. Color is accurate, off-angle viewing and uniformity are perfect, and its Cinema picture setting requires very little tweaking for optimal quality. There's a rare SD card slot for photo viewing."

  • A. Sounds is average for stock speakers. They project down from the bottom corners and have little bass notes. I'm picking up a soundbar with sub woffer which I planned on anyway for $100 to address that. Still a great picture and worth it. I never expect stock speakers to do the job for movie or football.

  • A. Yes it is! I have mine mounted on my wall in my living room. I mounted the tv mount on a 20 in by 20 in 3/4 in plywood. This allows the cables to easily connected to the rear of the set without a problem. I then attached the set to the mount with the help of my wife. I then picked up a white 30 in long, 4 inch wide cable hiding system from Home Depot which can be painted the same color as your wall if you have any of the original paint left over. It has the mounting threaded holes on the back just for this application. Good luck.

I bought this to replace a dead Mitsubishi 55" projection tv.Excellent picture quality, perfect size for the living room, very clear at all viewing angles.Very happy with my purchase, lowest price I was able to find for a brand name 60" tv.I have this hooked up to a surround sound system,so speakers are a non issue with my setup.Only 2 hdmi connections, and one component connection for hd,so keep in mind if you have more than 3 hd components. One year warranty, with the ability to purchase 3 year Walmart extended warranty for $89 within 30 days of purchase, which I plan to buy for peace of mind. This particular tv was not displayed in my local store, although they keep them in stock.I have had a Panasonic 50" plasma in my bedroom for 2 plus years with no issues(knock on wood).Highly recommended!

Was reluctant to buy it at first due to lack of reviews on here and none on display in the stores. Did a yahoo search with the model # and cnet gave this TV great review, in there best plasmas for '12 its on that list. Pulled the trigger and I couldnt be happier. Great great picture quality cant say that enough, the sound is middle of pack to a little higher, but every lcd, plasma I have owned has been lacking in this dept. The TV isnt a smart tv but what it is the best bang for your $$ Plasma as far as pic quality on the market, if you added smart features this TV would be much more $$$$. Hope this review helps!!!!!! PS its a nice package in the looks department also TV is located in living room that has no direct outside lighting aka windows

Customer has been confirmed to have purchased the item from Walmart.

After doing my research, I decided to try a plasma HDTV this time (I replaced a Sharp Aquos 42" LCD that I was very pleased with, passing it on to my daughter). I became convinced that Panasonic is the leader in plasma technology and they now rate their plasma array at 100,000 hours compared to 30,000 to 60,000 hours for CCFL based LCD TVs. Burn in appears to be a thing of the past although I do not plan on pausing the picture for longer than 15 minutes to avoid "ghosting", an annoying but temporary problem that can possibly occur. The picture quality is excellent, as is the wide viewing angle, with crisp colors and deep rich blacks without the "blooming" I have noticed on all LCD HDTVs. This TV has no bells and whistles and is not wifi ready, but for $898.00 for a 60" plasma I am not complaining. It just seemed foolish to spend $400.00 to $600.00 more for the same TV that was "internet ready". I can easily accomplish that through several different options. The sound quality of the speakers is mediocre, so I have run the audio directly through my stereo. In my opinion, the Panasonic Viera TC-P60U50 60" plasma gives me the most bang for my buck. Ordering on Walmart.com was effortless and within minutes I received a text telling me that my TV was ready to be picked up at the store. Within less than 2 hours after ordering I was watching my new TV at home.

If you don't want 3 D, or Internet because you already have a gaming console that does everything the smart option does. This is an awesome tv. Plasma Tvs are the best for gaming and movies!

First, its really hard to see exactly what kind of picture / sound / remote / features you are going to get at most stores, unless there is a specifcally built room / area to "Show Off" the tv. So PLEASE review the reviews from not just Walamrt , but other sites as well. (CNET, etc.). After figuring out what I needed, (BIG HD Picture, No SMART or 3-D, etc.) and narrowing it to a Plasma, for better dark/blacks plus extra layer (glass) of some protection, (especially in a home with a preschooler, where sometimes things become airborn). Which is a BIG plus over "soft LED/LCD screens. I found this Panosonic Vierra. WOW, WOW. GREAT PICTURE FOR A GREAT PRICE!! Easy to set up. The only with that it had at least one more HDMI connection, and that the Walmart website was more accurate when listin "In Stock", but for the money, and if you dont require a 3D/SMART TV. This Panosnic is for you. And if you have young ones, this may be a better alternative than an LED/LCD due to the soft screens. ALSO, PLEASE buy the straps that help prevent tipping of the TV, (especially with a young one).
