Decades of holidays where my camera gear weighed more than my suit case, I just wanted something I could stick in my pocket to get better results than camera photos. This little beauty filled that gap perfectly. I'd give it a 3.5 on the "Intuitive Test" (me learning everything I can without opening the manual) but that's just me being conditioned to 35 years of Canon shooting. I pulled the manual out twice while in New York. "What is 4K?" (after discovering I'd accidentally hit that button) and trying to find ISO settings. "Sensitivity?" That was new for me, but minor adjustment. Great camera, incredible photos, and it was great to hook up the WiFi function to send a few images to share from my mobile to Instagram.

Disappointed by several features
I have an older Panasonic camera and I was anxiously awaiting the release of this new version. With my older Panasonic, I could simply take the memory card out of the camera and insert it directly into my Mac to access the pictures. Easy. Now I have to mess with another cord and attach the camera to the computer and fiddle with it. Way too cumbersome! The pictures from my old Panasonic show up in an icon on my desktop, but my new pictures don't. No longer can I share pictures with other computers without dragging my camera along. Another feature I dislike is having to charge the battery while it is in the camera. My previous Panasonic had a separate charger (no cord needed!) so I could charge one battery while I was photographing using another battery in the camera. I am sorry I simply bought the camera based on previous satisfaction with a Panasonic product without considering other options for a wifi enabled camera. I do like having the viewfinder option.

Great Little Camera

I had own several other manufacture pocket cameras, what this brings to the table is a 4K photo, zoom, and touch screen. One think that I would like to have is the ability to create tour scenes or at least have Panasonic create a scene for silk water photo. I know that it has custom settings but as of today I have not been able to use them.

quality is amazing

no words

Lots of features but small sensor.

I own a previous model and I can say that this camera has a small sensor and then limited image quality, but there's no other way such a small camera can have a zoom that long. The possibility of shooting manual and RAW allows to improve the image quality using the appropriate software and technique. Its features make it very convenient for travel snapshooting. And yes, it has a flash just below the front logo.

Good Camera

I got it this month and I am liking the quality. Shooting at night is not the best but it still gives me ok pictures and video. Aside from that, the camera is great. I synced it to my phone, wished it had Bluetooth , that would make me give it five stars. It's hard to find a microphone that will work with this camera, but i'm still looking, if it had Bluetooth, I would've just gotten a Bluetooth microphone which would've made it easier.

Awesome camera, but has some limitations

I bought this because of the eye-level viewfinder: since having cataract surgery, I can't use LCD displays without my reading glasses. It replaces a LX7 which I bought for a trip to Germany. I absolutely love the ZS70, the 30x zoom is incredible as is the five-axis stabilization. But there are some limitations. First, the RAW format is not readable by Photoshop CS 6, you'll need to upgrade to CC or buy Elements 2018. Next, there's no manual flash control. Perhaps a firmware update may give that, I don't know. It's frustrating shooting in a condition that I know needs flash and not having it. Finally, the diopter adjustment can change if you carry it in your pocket and it's a little finicky to adjust. I've been shooting it for about a month and absolutely love it.

Love how compact it is

Great pictures , easy to use menu and set up. Lumix is the way to go .

Lasted a little over a year

I wanted to like this camera as it has some great features. The learning curve is considerable, so I didn't have time to learn it all. The camera began to be erratic in its behavior about one week after the warranty expired. It locks up sometimes, doesn't respond to buttons as it used to, etc. It behaves as if it might have loose connections inside. My only option is to try taking it apart to see. Otherwise, it's a lot of money wasted.
