Excellent quality BUT lacking streaming apps

I received the Panasonic 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision Playback, Hi-Res Sound, 4K VOD Streaming to use with my Samsung 60”. My tv is already a smart tv but I couldn't wait to try this out to see the difference in quality and sound playing movies. The Panasonic was easy to hook up using an HDMI cable (which was not included). The navigation to actually set up the Blu-ray player was easy as well following the on-screen prompts. This player connects to your WiFi which then turns it into a multimedia device where you can stream movies from Netflix, Amazon Prime or YouTube. I liked the layout on the screen and the ability to download new apps onto the player. The one thing I didn't like however was how I couldn't find s...

    Great i,age quality

    Very solid player, better than any 4k player on its own, and does wonders for any blue ray, this is how 4k blu-ray is meant to be seen. The UB820 inherits many of the great features of the UB9000, picture quality and control. Setup of the unit is easy and intuitive and the 4K HDR picture quality is just stunning. It upscales regular disc movies and makes them really look close to 4K .I watched "The office" and having seen this show several times before on regular Tv system, it was easily the most detailed and crisp it has ever looked. The Panasonic includes an "HDR Optimizer" which actually allows you to raise the brightness and adjust light/dark as necessary. The network streaming is also right on track.     Awesome!

    I'm really loving this blu-ray player! It's sleek, stylish, and powerful. Setup was a breeze. Just plug in the power cord and attach the HDMI cable (not included.) Wireless setup was easy and quick. It comes with the Prime video, Netflix, and YouTube apps installed. The picture quality is amazing! The remote is easy to use, but I haven't played around much with the Alexa smart voice control. Overall I'm really happy with it.

    Works great!

    It looks very sleek in my entertainment center and I love the way that it opens. The whole front panel opens up for you to insert a disk. It can connect to WiFi to play Netflix so that is a very convenient feature if you don't have a smart TV. The remote is easy to navigate as is the menu. Overall a nice quality blu-ray player!
