i previously used panasonic 3 cup rice cooker for more than 5 yrs but its non stick coating started to wear off so i purchased this model available online. This is not non-stick which i prefer is healthy, has no automatic shut off and this cause rice to stick to the pan, to prevent this i unplug it as soon as it comes to keep warm. Am using this every day.
Rice boils over the closed lid and when the rice is cooked, it's burnt at the bottom.

    Simple rice cooker

I bought this for my son who is going to college this fall. I tried it couple times, simple to use. Yes, when the rice is cooking, the water inside bubbling but not overflow. To avoid rice sticking to the bottom, unplug it after cooking is completed and the "warm" light is on. If rice stick to the bottom, simply soak it with water for a while before wash it with non abrasive sponge. This rice cooker is not made with non-stick material like the fancy model. But with this price for this brand name, simple to use for college student, it is good to go.

Rice sticks to the bottom of the pot.

It's the worst rice cooker you can have. My previous one stopped working after a year and a half but cleaning it was a breeze. The rice came off easily after rinsing it with water. But this one takes so much scrubbing and time to clean off the pot. I am so disappointed with this product. So my advice is don't buy thi s rice cooker!

    Sister-in-law loves it!!

We bought this for my wife's sister and she said she loves it but she did burn the rice the first time around...needs to get used to it since she is not used to having a rice cooker.

a good gift to my daughter

Excellent gift for a new housewife
