Screen cracks at first drop in case

The main reason for buying was to get a tablet made for kids that would be durable to deal with a 4 yr old handling it. Needless to say it lasted 3 days . the screen cracked on the first drop in its case. While it was in operation the pre loaded apps would take forever to load after he tapped the icon prompting him to repeatedly tap the screen and alert me every few minutes.

    Awesome

Love this, perfect for the grandkids. I have purchased three now and the kids love them!

    Dissapointed

I couldn't find any good reviews before I bought because it's only for a 2 yr old. However sometimes she manages to get out of the Kids Mode even though the parent password is set. Or you sometimes get any error that an app is not approved for Kids Mode even though I have already aporoved it. It does freeze sometimes which is weird because it was brand new out of the box, so I didn't expect to have that problem for a while. Considering that it is also a full functioning tablet, it definitely gets a thumbs down. I always have to check in on her even in Kids Mode just make sure everything is working properly and she's not getting frustrated because sometimes it has a mind of it's own and spontaneously force closes apps. And everytime she turned it on, I kept getting an email to activate the tablet, even though I have already done it, SEVERAL TIMES. Keep in mind, it is BRAND NEW, manufactured in August 2016 running Android 6.0 so it's definitely dissapointing in some areas. And the resolution sucks. You have to hold it a certain way to see the screen clearly without any weird glare. There's other tablets out there that's worth a shot.

    Bad battery bad interface

Terrible device. The battery was bad day one and just kept getting worse. It now dies after 15 minutes of use. Also the kids protected mode struggles with any third party apps, not allowing them to function at all in the kids safe mode. After 5 months of light use (averaging less than 15 minutes a day) it is unusable. When I tried to contact PBS about the product they said they don't support it at all, while also being unable to direct me to the vendor that produced the item.

    Pretty Good Value

Definitely a little on the slower side...but it is great for the kids (6,4,2). I would also like a bit higher of a resolution screen as I personally would not want to look at this thing regularly. Since we don't let the kids have it very often (only on special occasions) it's okay, and they don't seem to mind.

    Disappointed.

Recieved product yesterday. Worked fine in Android tablet mode. But once i set it up for my child's use play mode never functioned, at all. No way for me to put it back on the other mode. Returning a.s.a.p.

    PBs tablets customer service issues

PURCHASED 2 of the pbs kids tablets for grandkids one lasted 4 months screen shattered. The other after 8 months can't be used. If you waste your money save your receipt until it for sure is inoperable. Because if you ever need to reset it you will need to activate it all over again. The company will NOT help you. I normally don't write reviews but after dealing with the company that makes these telling me they can't help me if I no longer have a receipt from 8 months ago.

    Totally bummed

Ordered 2 of these for xmas for my kids. You can not have two tablets registered tothe same email address so I had to use my mothers email for the second tablet. One broke within the first week, the second one is falling apart. They freeze. They do not stay locked in kids mode. No easy access to kids mode from home screen. It's hard for them to get back to home screen. Don't let them use it in the car because you can't drive and fix tablet for them every two minutes. Too many bugs to list. Totally bummed!
Bought this for my granddaughter she's just about to and she is crazy about it she's learned a lot from other ones but this has an awful lot of learning tools the next one I get I will upgrade to the 7 plus this one is from two to four I love it

    not recommended

After owning two of those tablets for over 1 month i unfortunately had to change my review from highly recommended to not recommended at all. Short story long this tablets are way too buggy, the playtime mode is next to useless it will constantly crash or give you errors that apps don't have permissions to run even though they do or you keep getting notices that your playtime account is not activated even though it is. Luckily the play time mode can be permanently disabled and the tablet can be used just like a regular android tablet but even then the tablets cheep quality makes it almost useless. First thing that you notice is that the tablet is not even powerful enough to play some of the games that it was designed to play. Most of the games will take a very long time to load and games like Racing Rapids and River Run will not load correctly at all and will crash shortly after starting. Now remember I bought 2 of these for my kids and these games don't work on either one of them, how did that get through quality control i have no idea. The other problem is the battery, you can forget about the 6.5 hrs of battery time in the description, the battery will last about 2 to 3 hrs depending what apps you use, but on one of the tablets i own the battery already degraded to the point where it doesn't even last 1 hr and that's just after 1 month. Unfortunately for me I can no longer return these to the store and the warranty support is pretty much non existent. At this point i can only say do not buy these tablets I love PBS and all the contact from the station but these tablets are just not worth the low price. I suggest spending a bit more on a regular tablet from a better known brand and then installing manually all the PBS games and apps on it.
