    morning coffee
This has worked great while out camping, cannot go without my coffee in the mornings. Holes in the basket are the perfect size, let the water flow through without letting coffee grounds through without using a filter. Coffee tastes very good out of this. If you camp and like coffee would highly recommend this item.

    Absolute Garbage!!
Boiled the water to almost empty and it was still 100% clear with no signs of coffee. The only way we got anything close to coffee was to submerge the basket in the water to let it soak through. Not at all what I expected bases on reviews. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!! Get a French press and heat some water, at least that would make coffee.

    Good Camping Coffee Pot

    Verified purchase

This is big pot, holds 8 cups and is perfect for fresh coffee (coarse Ground or you will get small pieces of coffee in your cup) . It has a huge wide base for stability on a stove or single burner. Always be sure to clean it and air dry and do not boil it empty as that would ruin it.

    Nice coffee maker

    Verified purchase

Stainless steel seems to be of good quality. My only gripe is the hinge on the lid. It's very flimsy and some times it tends to detach. I have made coffee in it and it percolates pretty good.

    Met expectations

    Verified purchase

Worked as expected. Item is not suggested to be used on direct fire but did end up putting it on direct fire with low flame. Worked fine but exterior did get smoked out a bit.

Good for camping, not everyday use

    Verified purchase

I wanted something to use everyday, this isn't the best for that. The parts are rather flimsy, was a little crooked at first, but we straightened it up. The lid is constantly needing to be pushed down. The basket is kind of small for 8 cups of coffee, I get grounds in my coffee when it's full. But it's working for now, and like I said, works fine for occasional use.

i liked the wide bottom design..but---

my first pot developed a tiny leak around the bottom seam after a couple of uses on a propane Coleman stove-- so heat didn't melt the metal weld-- just poorly constructed. i exchanged for another one --also--in store and the spot weld on the bottom of the handle failed-- so i returned that one too. i should have bought better quality to begin with [ solid bottom and side construction with no welding joints to break ! ] but trusted that a coffee pot would be solid-- this one wasn't. it is relatively cheap in price because it is definately cheap in construction.

    Junk

    Verified purchase

Does not work. Returned it for refund after first attempted use. Poor engineering design, I have used others that do work. However this one is junk.

    7. i did but it developed a leak along the bottom seam in the stainless steel and the water put out the gas burner while the propane kept escaping and was wasted. lesson-- always watch any stove-- even a trusted stove -- at all times!! and buy a better pot with no bottom seam.

    8. No, it cannot. Shop another percolator. The poor design of this thing renders it utterly useless. You require a lot of heat to produce a sufficiently vigorous boil to make it work at all. Dont buy it...

    3. I punched a small hole in middle of my filter, and it worked fine, its is up to u if you want to or not, if you do. once up insert the filter, fold rest over edge, and place on lid.

    4. Not required but I use the 4 or 5 cup filters to minimize the grounds in the coffee. I push a hole in the center using the stem.
