First let me start by saying that this chair has a locking mechanism on the left side just under the arm rest. It automatically locks in when you unfold the chair - A good thing except my lock stuck , and the harder I tried to push to release the lock the grey plastic showed signs of stress and possible breakage. I finally got a screwdriver and wedged it at the top of the button and that released the lock. It appears that the hole needs to be reamed out a bit better with a file. I just mention this in case it happens to you - its not the end of the world. I attached a picture of the grey locking mechanism with the locking hole visible so you can see how that works if you have to jimmy yours. Now, this chair is BIG - I am only 5'1" and my feet do not touch the ground when I sit in the chair. This is an awesome chair for a tall guy but ladies may opt for another style. The seat slopes towards the back raising your knees and that is where I think I have the issue of my feet not touching the ground. The chair is very comfortable and love, love love that it has 2 drink holders one on each arm rest... Well I think one is meant to hols a drink and a screwdriver! Actually it holds much more attached a photo of a drink can, screwdriver, pack of smokes and the most awesome Ozark Trail 700 Lumen flashlight ever made (I will give the Walmart number later) Probably could get the phone in there too. Thinking about it, I just gave it another star! So 5 stars for this one, It's not Ozark Trails fault I am short. The back of the chair is high - gives you that rocking chair feel with the high back. This chair is stable, very stable and has more cross members than a well built bridge. Some people know that I have a propensity to occasionally fall out of my chair (tip sideways) when camping... I usually happens when I am reaching for stuff I must stow on the ground besides me because my last chair had only one drink holder - Hopefully with this chair I will remain upright! The only real concern I have is bailing when a bear comes... I camp where there are many bears and some time you have to do a quick dismount and exit stage right from your chair (I will just have to practice my dismount so I am comfortable under stress. Ok I brought up the bears mainly to segway back to the Ozark Trail 700 Lumen Can't live without it flashlight! It's Walmart number 555213080 cost is $19.72 runs on 3 C batteries and seriously this is the brightest, clearest light flashlight I have found. I tried them all and many costing way more than 20 bucks... they can not compare. I just want to say this if you get this flashlight... Be respectful of animals with it. I did not realize until I had a really close, close encounter with a large black bear. Kinda of a long story but I had some hair product in my hair that I should have not had camping. A large black bear smelled it from a far and I had eyes on him the whole time he approached (Kept an eye on him Mainly because of the awesome flashlight) well, the bear kept coming closer and closer and walked me around the fire ring a few times before he was close enough to get some good whiffs of me to determine if I was food or just went crazy with the Sally Hershenberger hair product. Ok, it ended ok face to face with this bear at less than 3 feet - Me, never loosing grip of the flashlight and kept it square in that bears face - He took a final whiff and turned and walked away. Here is what I did wrong - I was blinding the bear and he needed to get much closer to determine what the heck I was. Should I have lessened the light or shined it down or up he probably would have better been able to determine I was a human and would have not needed to be that curious and close. So, back to the please respect the animals with bright lights - They do not enjoy it anymore than we do and it could save your life. Also had an incident with a toad, bright lights in his eyes he lifted his little frog arm to cover his eyes (Just like we would do) This was witnessed otherwise I am not sure if I would believe what I saw. I have learned, I will be much more respectful from now on. You got 2 reviews for the price of one! Look for my review coming soon on the Ozark Trail 10 x 10 tent that hooks to the ozark trail 10 x 10 straight leg canopy. They sold out last year so I got mine early - have not tried it yet but I will let you know how that goes. See ya camping!
