    Perfect Tent

My son and I have had an excellent camping trip. I was able to assemble the tent within 20-30 minutes, with help from a 5 year old. The tent is very big and long. I was able to fit (1) queen mattress, (2) end tables, and still had plenty of room to move around and play games. It rained very hard and no water came inside. I would rate this product 10+

    Awesome value family camping tent

I purchased this before a 2-day camping trip. It's pretty large, and as such the carrying bag is also pretty big. The bag expands with zippers at the bottom, allowing you to easily fold up the tent and fit it back in without having to cram. After I got back I saw a little bit of strain on the handles, but hopefully the bag will hold up. In addition to the tent and included stakes, I also ended up putting in some larger Coleman stakes, a tent repair kit, as well as a tarp without any trouble. Once the tent is setup, it fits 2 queen size beds easily with or without the room divider. I noticed in the video on the page description they had shorter poles slide into a connector piece at the top, my tent just had two long poles that went all the way through from end to end. It's about 6'3" in the middle, a friend who is 6'2" was able to stand in the center of the tent. When I used the tent it didn't rain, however there was some moderate wind gusts up to 15-20mph and I didn't encounter any issues with the tent which was staked down securely. One thing I did notice about the tent is that doesn't have that welded tub bottom that sticks up a few inches past the base of the tent. This is the one thing that worried me some - I haven't seen how it will hold up in very wet ground conditions. The tent has great ventilation, even so with the fly on. It was hot when we camped, during the night I left the rain-fly on but all the windows open, and it stayed pretty cool. During the day I would take off half the fly or all of it, and the mesh top allowed for air to flow right through the entire tent. Laying down in the tent relaxing while gazing up at the sky or trees during the day was a great, bug-free feeling. Overall, I'd rate it 5-stars assuming it holds up alright in the rain!

    Great Tent

We love this tent! Easy to put up. One person could do it by themselves without using the directions. It was perfect for a family of 4. Small enough to not take up too much room on our site but big enough for all of us to fit and have room left over. 6 would be snug. 8 would only work for sleeping side by side in sleeping bags. We got stuck in two very windy lightning storms while camping with this tent. It down poured for over an hour each day and this tent was watertight. We read that some people experienced some water entering at window seams but we did NOT have this issue (maybe they didn't have the rain cover on properly??) With the rain cover off you get a beautiful view of the stars and the tent stays cool. In winter months it blocks the wind but won't hold out too much of the ambient temperature so be prepared and bring your blankets. We love, love, love this tent. You just can't beat the price for what you get. HIGHLY RECOMMEND>

good, basic tent, roomy, not for nights below 55F

Not a bad tent at all, for the price of $68 I paid at Walmart; however, the temp dropped to 40F our one night of camping, and this tent was like a freezer. Problems included: 1. the rain fly, no matter how I tried, could not fit tightly over the mesh of the ceiling, allowed a 20mph very cold wind to come into the tent all night. 2. Set-up is not quick at all--it took 45 minutes, and I knew what I was doing--but note, this was 1 person; 2 persons would be faster. 3. The circle rings where the poles fit are rather flimsy, and it took some adjusting to get the poles stabilized in these fittings. 4. The mud mat is about the smallest possible, I think. In Summary: 1. price! 2. It did work as advertised. 3. Price! 4. In warm weather, it is probably a cool tent--if the weather is below 55F, you better have a good, warm sleeping bag. 5. 1 queen inflatable, 1 twin inflatable, and 3 sleeping bags + 1 adult + 2 kids + equipment all fit comfortably. Hope this helps!

    Good size but leaks

This tent is a great size for a family of 4 with young adult children or 5 (we have three children) or perfect for 4 adults. Super easy to put up - the carry bag expands which is pretty nifty given the tent never fits back in the bag! Loved the little pocket organizers sewn into each corner! The rain fly is poorly designed and allows water to roll off right into the closed windows through the zipper. We returned ours because we had quite a few puddles of water after a mild rain and decided a cabin style tent is a better choice for Pacific Northwest camping. Some water-proofing would probably help but really there is no way to keep water out of the tent because of the way the rainfly is positioned. Also, the pegs that come with the tent are the cheap aluminum ones so bring beefier ones if you're so inclined! Over all not a bad tent but more suitable for camping in dryer climates! Happy Camping!
