    Perfect Tent

My son and I have had an excellent camping trip. I was able to assemble the tent within 20-30 minutes, with help from a 5 year old. The tent is very big and long. I was able to fit (1) queen mattress, (2) end tables, and still had plenty of room to move around and play games. It rained very hard and no water came inside. I would rate this product 10+

    A Camping We Will GO!

My family likes to going camping from time to time. So, when I saw this Ozark Trail 8 Person Modified Dome tent I decided to give it a try. This is a very nice looking tent. My family of five put the tent together in about forty minutes. The more we use it the faster we will be able to erect it. I know this from past experiences with tents. The tent has a window on each end that has a zip around window closure. The tent also has a net top that allows you to sleep under the stars without the nuisance of insects buzzing around your head. The tent has a front door that zips. The tent also has a cover to keep off the rain. The tent is tall enough for an adult to stand upright directly in the center of it. It would have been nicer if the tent had more head room for adults to walk to each end though. The tent comes with all the stakes needed to tether it down to the ground. There are also two fabric dividers you can hang to give the tent three “so call” rooms for a little privacy. The instructions are on the carryall bag. The day we put up the tent in the back yard for my eleven year old to have a friend over it rained something fierce. Well, the rain was a great test for leaks. We only found one corner that got a little wet. So, we were not too disappointed about it. This tent will get many years of use. Nice product!

    A Perfect Camping House!

We set the tent up on our property, and camped with our grand children for a night. We needed to make sure this was a good fit before taking it out to the river for a family reunion. We had 2 adults and 5 children under the age of 10, and it held all of us with room to spare. The tent is two tone, olive green, and tan. It blends with the outdoor settings. I have a smaller red and white tent that just kind of looks like it doesn't belong outdoors. We had a blast camping in this tent, it was really comfortable, and roomy, with plenty of ventilation (that is very important to me). We played games inside, ate, and danced. The tent was perfect for our busy group, and everyone was able to move around without tripping over each other. The tent is tall in the center, I think about 6 feet. I appreciate being able to stand up inside. The kids fell asleep looking up at the stars through the mesh roof. We all really love the mesh roof. The instructions for setting the tent up are located inside the carrying bag. We should have known that, however we attempted to set it up with out using the instructions. After about 45 minutes, we realized where the instructions were. Starting from scratch, following the instructions, we had the tent set up in less than 30 minutes. It does take 2 people to set up the tent. We put up the room divider to see how it would work, in case we wanted to use in the future. I have to say the room divider was pretty genius, and each room has it's own entrance into the tent. the tent actually has 2 entry doors on the front. We plan on using the tent at a family reunion in a few weeks, and the room divider will be practical to share the tent with two families. The tent has five windows, it actually helps a lot with the ventilation. I am not sure what the cover is called, however there is a cover that goes over the top of the tent. The cover also snaps onto the spike that will keep the tent dry in inclement weather. The next day after our initial trial run, we took the tent down, and followed the instructions for folding it up. Everything fit perfectly into the travel bag. We don't just like this tent, we love it. It's going to make our river trip perfect.

    Awesome value family camping tent

I purchased this before a 2-day camping trip. It's pretty large, and as such the carrying bag is also pretty big. The bag expands with zippers at the bottom, allowing you to easily fold up the tent and fit it back in without having to cram. After I got back I saw a little bit of strain on the handles, but hopefully the bag will hold up. In addition to the tent and included stakes, I also ended up putting in some larger Coleman stakes, a tent repair kit, as well as a tarp without any trouble. Once the tent is setup, it fits 2 queen size beds easily with or without the room divider. I noticed in the video on the page description they had shorter poles slide into a connector piece at the top, my tent just had two long poles that went all the way through from end to end. It's about 6'3" in the middle, a friend who is 6'2" was able to stand in the center of the tent. When I used the tent it didn't rain, however there was some moderate wind gusts up to 15-20mph and I didn't encounter any issues with the tent which was staked down securely. One thing I did notice about the tent is that doesn't have that welded tub bottom that sticks up a few inches past the base of the tent. This is the one thing that worried me some - I haven't seen how it will hold up in very wet ground conditions. The tent has great ventilation, even so with the fly on. It was hot when we camped, during the night I left the rain-fly on but all the windows open, and it stayed pretty cool. During the day I would take off half the fly or all of it, and the mesh top allowed for air to flow right through the entire tent. Laying down in the tent relaxing while gazing up at the sky or trees during the day was a great, bug-free feeling. Overall, I'd rate it 5-stars assuming it holds up alright in the rain!

    Cool Tent

I was pleasantly surprised at how small the package was. A large tent fits in that box??? Yes, a 8 person dome style tent fit in that box. The storage bag is equally as small. We were able to fit it back into its storage bag with no problem. We live in Central Texas. It is a necessity to have a tent with very good ventilation. This tent has very good ventilation. With the cover off, it is pretty much all screen on top. It has a screened window on both sides (w/ closable zippered flaps) and a large screened window in the rear (Also with zippered flap). It has a double door in the front that is not screened. It has a removable room divider that splits the room into a left side room and a right side room, each with its own entry door. I had one helper helping me set up the tent. It is pretty simple to set up. Did not take long at all. Just spread it out on the ground, unfold the fiberglass rods, insert thru the loops and stick the ends in the holders. It has 1 fiberglass rod on each side then 2 more cross over the center. It has a short fiberglass rod that goes over the doorway also. After setting up main part of the tent , it has a cover that goes over the top, covering the top and rear that provides shelter from the elements and provides privacy. The cover is held in place with elastic cords and it has stakes to stake the whole thing down. The bottom Is dew/water proof plastic and the rest is thin nylon. The zippers are also nylon. It appears to be a good quality tent with a lot of room in it. I would recommend this tent to any fair weather weekend campers. Check out the photos below. One with cover on, one with it off.
