This Ozark 4 person 7.5 lb. dome tent comes in a zip up case with carring handle. The stakes and poles have thier own storage bad. I was so impressed how quick this tent went up. I decided to put it up without using the directions and so so easy. Took me about ten minutes to figure it out and put up. The poles are segmented with a bungee running through the middle of the poles. You pull the pole out of the bag and push one pole into the other while pushing it threw the tent seem guides on the top of the tent. There is a pin ring on each corner and the pin slides easily into the bottom of the pole ends. The rain topper with door awning, just clips to the ring at each corner. This tent can be used inside and out because no stakes are needed to put it up. What fun for kids to play in and have slumber parties in. The topper can be unzipped to let you star gaze. This tent has a port to slide the extension cord through for easy electrical hook ups. Near the port is a hanging storage unit for phones and small items. Ozark even thought about adding a net that hooks at the ceiling for extra storage. The floor is waterproof and there is a water proof attached door mat to help keep dirt and moisture from being tracked into the tent. The door zips and has a window that zips open for ventilation and with the awning the window can be kept open when raining.

A tent with a lot of Wow!!
plenty of room...
Folks I couldn't decide whether to get the Ozark Trail 9 foot by 7 foot or the 10 foot by 8 foot dome tent. My wife and I will see what the best size should have been, if we needed the room, or less room , a lot of the issues are, "will a queen size air bed fit", yes.... with limited space
verses 10x8 tent, but this review will be on the 9x7 dome tent, this came in a 23 inch box by 6 inch square with included carrying bag, there are:
(1), "9 foot by 7 foot", light weight 7lb., 4 person dome tent.. and with an electrical port hole
access installed in the front left of tent...a must have for the "information highway" folks...
(what has happen to "just camping")...
(1), Large "fly cover" for wind, and rain protection...
(7), tent stakes....4 stakes for corners, and 2 stakes to tie down fly with...
(2), folding fiberglass frame poles, that measure 21 and 3/4 inch being the longest of poles (when folded) and when extended, measure 14 foot and 20+ inches long...(both are now ready to loop through the sleeves in top of the tent... now, lay out tent, (bottom down), run your tent poles through sleeves the run on top of tent, then make sure you get the frame poles "into the pin ring", on all four corners...now your ready to "flex upward", (I had my wife on standby for help), then follow instructions...easy instructions on the handy carry bag included, or as I did
and print out a step by step with more details than printed on the carrying bag, handy and easy to read instructions and after a few practice assemblies you should have the routine down...
(1), 21 and a half inch "folding fly" frame pole" that when run through the sleeves in the front of the door entrance, this will be used when using the cover. Easy to install, just follow instructions and you will have the options for protection from the elements or on starry nights you can leave it off and enjoy the view...This is a well built tent and we intend to use this a lot,
on our, get in woods, lake, waterfall, you name it...light weight (as I said above), a mere 7 pounds,.also I plan on using a "sealer", on the seams because of added protection of moisture or any type of leaking seams... this is the first thing you need to do for protection against water leaks in the middle of the night... you can buy online or nearby big box store...quick, easy, done...I could go on and on but all the needed instructions are on the handy carrying bag and
online, for easy to view and print...
Easy to set up tent
I received my Ozark Trail 9x7 Dome Tent and was so glad to see that the instructions are right on the storage bag. There is nothing worse than going camping and loosing the directions on how to set up the tent. It also comes with a paper set of instructions in the bag as well. This tent has double seams for added strength and the seams of the rain fly are coated to help stop leakage. It is very well made.
It took my husband and I about five minutes to set up the tent and a few more to attach the rain fly. We didn't even need the directions until it came to the rain fly as we put it on backwards. I never had a tent that had an awning with tent poles in it. It is a nice touch to keep the rain off. Be aware that the zipper part of the rain fly goes in the back of the tent for ventilation.
This tent says it is for 3-4 persons but I wouldn't want to squeeze 4 adults in it unless there were children in those numbers. I would say three adults would be the max. The tent has a plastic mud mat at the front which you could put a little rug over to wipe your feet. This is a great addition. It has a mesh (what it calls a media center) organizer which I would find other uses for. It is nice to have some little pockets to store things that you may need in the night- like toilet paper, a flash light, etc. There is also a mesh sheet that you can attach to the ceiling to store things at night like a sweater or sweatshirt.
My only complaint is that they make the storage bag too small. I have folded it up a number of times to try to get it the correct size to get it back in the bag. A little extra room couldn't hurt. Overall I would recommend the Ozark Trail Dome Tent.
Oh boy best thing to use as a playroom for the grand-kids. This four-person, free-standing tent is easy to set up. It features a rain fly with taped seams that rolls back in the rear to provide extra ventilation. Or, take the rain fly off and expose the full-mesh top to provide excellent star gazing opportunities on those hot summer nights. An E-port allows easy access to an extension cord, and an attached mud mat keeps the inside of your tent clean and dry. are able to place a double bed inside for sleeping at night, and still have room for other things inside. I recommend buying and here are some more reasons to buy and dimesions:
Fits 1 queen airbed or up to 4 sleeping bags
Large mesh walls and rollback fly for excellent ventilation
Materials: poly taffeta, fiberglass, PE
Taped fly seams and inside binding floor for water resistance
Contains E-port for easy access for electrical cord
Attached mud mat keeps the inside of the tent clean
Contains 1 gear loft and 1 convenient pocket for storing small items
48" center height
7.6 lb carry weight
Carry bag dimensions: 23.5" x 6.25" x 6.25"
This is tent is awesome
Although we haven't been able to go camping with this tent, we set it up in the house for the grand kids to have a camping adventure. We will defiinitely be using this outdoors as we begin camping in the spring. The set up was fairly easy if you have set up tents before, it won't be a problem. I always like to follow the instructions, luckily we have set up many tents, because the instructions were not that good. The only issue we had was with the "fly" ( the top cover for inclement weather), it has a little awning above the door that was tricky to figure out. But we got it, and it is a great asset to the tent.
The tent is mostly gray, and red. It is large! It easily sleeps 4 people. There is a mud mat that folds out at the front door to help keep the inside clean, great idea. A mesh gear holder is included that attaches to the ceiling to hold small camping gear. There is also a mesh media center holder to keep cell phones, etc store and in one place. There is a pocket on the outside of the tent that allows you to run extension cords into the tent.
The front door unzips to allow the door to be opened, and clipped to stay open. The door also has a mesh window, that can be unzipped and still have a half door. I love the full Windows on both sides, and the back of the tent. The "fly" or top cover fits like a charm, and it's very easy to put on or take off. It does come with spikes, and attached ties downs on the cover.
We are really excited to use this tent for its intended purpose, camping!
