Works like an oven
I have had this product for more than a year. I have a very small place and no stove/oven. So I purchased this to make a turkey and it works great. I have since cooked Pies, Cookies, Bread and other items in this. This makes a good replacement when you don't have an oven. One downside is it takes forever to make toast. But it makes great Turkeys.
Fantastic Roaster Oven
The roaster oven cooks pizza just like the instructions said it would. I don't have 220 wiring in my trailer for my electric stove so I bought this roaster oven in place of oven on stove. Works fantastic.
I love my oster roaster oven. I bought this one to replace mine that finally stopped working after 7 years. You can bake cakes, slow cook. It's amazing.
I used my roaster for the first time on Thanksgiving. I have to admit I was a bit fearful that I would have a raw turkey. Boy was I wrong. I stuffed a 21 lb turkey placed it on the rack and then rubbed a little olive oil on him Based on the instructions the bird was to cook for 3 hours but did not state stuffed or unstuffed. I added 2 hours for the stuffing. The turkey was perfect! Moist, browned and falling off the bone!! Will definitely recommend the roaster
Oster Turkey Roaster
For the price, the best kitchen product I purchased and I loved it so much I also bought the turkey roaster for my sister. I will never have to heat the oven to bake a turkey again. More time and use of oven to bake other things without taking turkey out and putting back in oven to reheat. Great purchase and product.
Worked better than expected!
For years I have been fighting for space in my oven to get everything cooked on time. This year I decided to try a turkey roaster for the first time but was worried that my bird wouldn't brown or come out "just right". Wow was I pleasantly surprised! Not only did my bird brown perfectly but the meat practically fell off the bones when I took it out of the roaster. I may never go back to roasting my turkey in my conventional oven again.
We used this for Thanksgiving this year. It was big enough that we were able to out one of those disposable aluminum pans in and then the turkey (helped with clean up and transport. The bottom gets a bit hot but the outcome was delicious and we will keep using it.
This is my first roasting oven. I bought it to use when cooking large holiday dinners to free up oven space. I've only used it once to cook a turkey. It worked great. Turkey came out moist and tasted great, plus it took far less time and effort (no basting or even checking on it) than a regular oven. It was easy to clean (I recommend this model over cheaper models that don't have a removable insert pan). The only thing that would be nice is a heasting indicator light. Otherwise, no complaints.
I made a 14 Lb turkey in this for Thanksgiving. It barely fit into the pan and after 2.5 hours hadn't browned so I ended up putting it into the oven. What I didn't realize until dinner was on the tale was that the stuffing did not cook all the way through so much of it went down the disposal after dinner. I don't dislike anyone enough to give it away but I hate to simply throw it away after just one use. I will try something else fairly soon and if the results are no better I will be tossing it. I really wanted to like this because I have only one oven. *sigh*
