I had the older Net Gear technology for Home Plug Networks, and was hoping this would be fast enough. I needed to be able to remote into work from a new part of the house that was just remodeled --- but it was too far from the wifi (which I did not want to use) and too hard to string CAT5 to that location. This did the trick, it came with two adapters, one for my router and one for my computer.
