    Gave it away too soon!!!

I never used the thing when I had it for years. Now that I have three tots I'm staring disbelieving at the wall clock that says 4:45pm! Dinner in 15 minutes! On the table and cooled for the little sensitive fingers. I called my girlfriend to whom I gave the unappreciated gadget and she LOVES the thing! To the point, she was politely possessive. I got the hint and after chit-chatting about this and that I got off the phone. Darnit. Can't find it at the yard sales anywhere. Thrift shops either. I gotta get on of these! Well, Hubby's at the store right now getting the replacement for me with the kiddos for Mother's Day. I feel like such a dope for letting it go in the first place but good for her that my girlfriend could use it to bless their family. Maybe I'll have my DH order the online model with the three blades in it and carrying case so I can give this one away again ;). Or maybe I'll be smart this time and hold onto the good thing I've always had. I know we all can cope. Wish me luck.

Don't Push To Hard... It's gonna Break

The chopper works fairly well, but has one major flaw. We have broken a few of them. Where the lid hinges, there are two ~plastic pegs that the lid pivots on. A LOT of pressure is applied to those pegs when you press the lid down to slice your vegetables. We use it for several vegetables, including onions. You do not want to put very many vegetables in at one time to slice. You want to put the vegetables towards the back of the slicer, very few and sliced small, and while pressing down on the lid towards the front, you should also apply pressure to the rear where the lid hinges. Even doing so, those pegs will eventually break off. We have been able to return then thus far, but go into this knowing that those pegs will break. It's not a, they may break, but they WILL break off. Keep your receipt. That area was basically under-engineered, engineered obsolescence. Buyer beware.

    More good than bad.

I wasn't expecting much. Can't say how many different "dicer" gadgets I've tossed after many attempts and a few tirades that would singe the roots of a mule-skinner's scalp. But this one actually works well on many items. If the outside onion layer is a bit tough, it just mashes that layer, but the rest of the onion chops well. I peel the skins off my cucumbers and tomatoes and they chopped very well. Takes a little extra cleaning time, and it comes with a "tool" for cleaning, which is just another small item for you to keep track of in the drawer and mostly useless. But I think I'm keeping this dicer.

    It does the job

It makes diced onions that are small and uniform in size. It took a while to figure out the best way to put the onions on the surface to be diced but once I figured that out, it worked very well. You can measure the amount in the container. It does make a loud noise as the last piece of onion is cut but the directions indicate that. Cleaning was also easy with the small tool included with the cutter. Best thing I have found to dice onions small and consistent in size. I would recommend it for dicing onions.

    onion dicer

just a perfect item to dice onions, easy to clean and easy to use.

    Love this little machine !

I had a ton of onions to dice for chili dogs for a huge BBQ. One of my friends suggested I buy this. What a time saver and I love that all the pieces are the same size.

    Great Product

This is a great chopper. I have found that once a heavy buildup starts on the lid, it is necessary to clean it so that the metal cutters don't bend because of the upper part being offset by buildup.

    Best dicer ever!

Purchased this one for my daughter who hates dicing tomatoes for salsa. Best kitchen tool ever to use and you don't have to "plug it in". Hitting the top down to create the dicing also relieves any of the day's tension. I use it for onions, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, carrots and firm fruits. Just make sure the pieces you put on the blades are not too big or high. Easy to clean and store. Love it!!!!
My family are big onion eaters. I have owned mine for several years and like it very much. Several people comment on my onions for tacos, salad, hot dogs.... even in size... perfect. This year 2 grown daughters asked for their own for Christmas. I think $9.99 is more appropriate price.

I LOVE the onion chopper dicer but...

I LOVE the onion chopper dicer but it says that it is dishwasher safe but mine warped. Did anyone else have this problem?
