Yes, the balls unscrew from the ends of the rod.

YES, BUT YOU WOULD NOT CUT THIS END AS IT HAS A THREADED INSERT THAT THE BALL SCREWS INTO. THE RODS SLIDE INTO EACH OTHER AND THERE REALLY SHOULD BE NO NEED TO CUT THE ROD. IT STARTS OUT AT 66" AND WILL EXTEND TO ANY SIZE UP TO 120"

can you remove balls on end ?? so I can cut and shorten rod?

They are movable as to where you place them on the wall but they are not adjustable as to how far they stick out from the wall.

Unscrew the decorative ball and put it on the other end.

There are two different sizes available for this rod, the smaller one reaches 66 inches, the larger one reaches 120 inches.

Was very impressed by this, looks just like we wanted on newly painted walls. very happy we choose this one, looks better when hung, very well made, looks more expensive.

Wanted something better

i love the BH&G line! i bought a pair of curtains from this line also and i needed a drapery rod that looked $$$$ to compliment them. i love the ORB color of it and the orbs on each end are the perfect size. they don't take all the attention from the window or the curtains but you can't help but notice it all and how it dresses up the window!

Looks great

These curtain rods look very elegant and are easy to install. I paid a little more than I had budgeted but bought them because:

1. The mounting hardware was included.
2. The color and look go very well with the deep coffee brown curtains I have.

The ends screw on and off making it very easy to insert the rod into each curtain panel.

The only reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 for "Meets Expectations" is because the decorative knob is darker than shown in the photos. I would have liked it to be just a little more bronze. Instead it's darker than that. If the walls of your room are a neutral color they'll lpok fine. I'd recommend comparing the color of your curtains to make sure they work with the dark bronze.

Elegant Curtain Rod at a Good Price

These curtains rods worked perfect for the voile valances I hung in my bedroom. I put them above two smaller windows and one glass slider. They are big enough to be seen but not overwhelming. The oil-rubbed bronze color is perfect. Good value. Quick shipping also.

Worked for me!

I ordered a 66" to 120". My window is a little over sized and it fit nicely.They send an extra extension rod to make it go to 120". I didn't even need to use the extra rod.

I bought this rod to go along with the better homes and garden gold trellis curtains. Highly recommend.  You can't even tell the detailed end pieces are plastic. The whole rod feels sturdy and made of quality materials.

The packaging stated there would be a magazine offer details in the box. I bought two rods in different sizes and neither box had information on the offer.

Looks much more elegant in person

The end designs give this 4stars. I expected the rod to be sturdier. I'd recommend using better hardware. The first attempt, even with the drywall plugs, ripped out of the wall. Now I have to patch that bit too. This happened prior to the curtain even being hung! It looks nice just took much longer than expected to finish the job.

I love the looks of the rod. But the ends are plastic, not metal. I would get it from the store and not have it shipped. Mine came crushed in a million pieces. The box they send it in was flimsy and one of the ends were crushed. I had to return it to the store and get a new one. The holdbacks (I call them tiebacks) look REALLY nice with the rod. They come in a set of 2. So you only need to order one package per window. I like the looks of it when all done.

Pretty but Pastic Ends

I like the rod except that one of the rodes (total of 6) came in broken. I believe they need to review their packaging.
