I would and have bought Tripp Lite again and again

I have used all manufacturer's of UPS and only depend on the Tripp Lite product for all around dependability.

    Works Great

Before I got this power went off every time I downloaded and this arrivated and the power never quit. A very good deterrent. Thanks!

    Great power backup

Picked up at the store, box was beat up so before I left the store we opened to see if the PS was damaged. The packing material was broken but the PS was not. Put this on charge for 24 hours even though the battery indicator showed it was full before connecting our desktop computer, FiOS router and a backup LED light. Tested and the time it took to switch from AC input to battery operation was in the milliseconds. We live in Long Beach and Edison has been spiking our power lines like crazy so after replacing a power supply and motherboard this PS became an indispensable part of our equipment management at home. This PS does not supply a true sinusoidal AC waveform on battery operation, other than that this package has all the features of a much more expensive power backup. The software was downloaded from the OEM site and works great on a Windows 10 Pro platform (don't get spooked when the software looks at your system and says it is Windows Vista). The software is flawed, what do you expect from a Java Based app but works well enough for my recommendation.

    Great UPS

keeps my wireless router and modem running even during power downtime sonI can keep working from home off my laptop

    Excellent UPS for the money.

I have used UPS's for years but I always "cheap out" and buy the $50 one and it never lasts very long because I know I overload it. This 1500 va UPS has a load meter on the LCD screen to warn me when it is overloaded. I have my 52" TV, my Pioneer surround sound amplifier and my A/V computer all on the UPS and the load meter only shows 3 out of 5 bars on the load meter. It's already held up to a short power outage since I installed it. I know time will tell but right now I am very happy with it.

    Solid unit

I've had other UPSs in the past, and this one is by far the nicest unit I've owned. The display gives great information about the amount of load on the system and the state of the battery. I'd recommend this unit if you need an UPS for your computer.

Everything I wanted, until the deal-killer

All of us who have owned UPS units understand they fail for a variety of reasons-- and product failure is not always the "fault" of anybody. But that is why we are drawn to products with manufacturer warranty, because after paying the purchase price, our money also buys a period of assured, cost-free service from the UPS we decided to buy. The TrippLite product which interested me-- the OmniSmart LCD 1500VA-- offers a one-year product warranty, but my experience with UPS units suggests at least three years' protection is advisable. From a marketing standpoint, such a weak TrippLite warranty is both illogical and self-defeating. Why should I buy into a TrippLite-branded product, only to face reasonable certainty of paying even more later-- perhaps a great deal more-- in labor and service fees? In effect, the TrippLite policy is "pay me now AND pay me later".

    Performs as expected

I have expensive equipment that includes an ipcamera/remote storage, router/modem, Tv, game systems, video streamers etc. I have had good past experience with Tripplite products.

UPS is great but software is not so good.

The UPS is great. Works very well and gives all of the information needed right on the LCD on the unit. That's a good thing because the software doesn't work worth a hoot!! Very intermittent. Plenty of outlets and capacity. Very quiet (can't hear it at all.) Doesn't run hot either.

    not sure

I would recommend it, but with caveats.
