2 Paws Up from a Dog Who Hates Heat
We picked this up for my service dog on our last camping trip. He hates heat, and I knew he'd be missing his air conditioner. It's quick and easy--just unfold, pop batteries in, and turn it on. It had good airflow for a small fan, and my dog slept right in front of it, giving his wholehearted approval. It will be a permanent part of our summer camping gear.

Small Blades Disappointed
I would not buy these again, they work okay, but I almost did not buy them because of how small the blades were. I was not sure it would blow the air very well, I was right. The fan does not blow much force of air all. Thank goodness we did not need these when we went camping. If it had been hotter at night, this fan would not have kept us cool.

Great for travel or when power is out.

Great travel fan. Compact and lightweight. Packs easily. It's also perfect if traveling to locations where electric currency is different, power goes out or not many outlets nearby as you can use batteries. I need white sound to sleep and this makes resting while away easier. Have purchased several over the years.

Quiet, sturdy

This little fan is exactly what I was looking for. It's quiet, and very sturdy. I had an older model made of a different type of plastic that was brittle...This, I am happy to say, is not. It takes 4 D batteries, but it can also accept a 9 volt adapter so it could be used in the car without depleting the batteries. This moves a lot of air for its size. Very happy with this purchase.

Saved my weekend at camp

I bought 2 of these little fans for our 350 sq. ft. off-grid camp when the temps hit above 90 degrees. I put one in each window and let it run all night . . . we actually got cold. During the day, I left it on the table and pointed it right at my chair and comfortably read a book, despite the heat. It saved my weekend at camp.

10" Portable Fan

These little fans have come in handy when we lose power like we did during a storm about a week ago. We had no power for about 15 hours and it had been in the 90's. We also have three inside dogs and they lay where there is a breeze. My husband has also taken one camping which he was thankful I had one. The batteries seem to last a fair amount of time as well(use alkaline) but I keep extras just in case. I would recommend the fan as they work well and are easy to use.

moves air well but has a high pitch whine

has a high pitch whine on high that I can only stand for so long. On low it isn't as bad. It is nicely priced but I would not buy it again. The movable stand is nice making it stable and it does move the air very well for being a small 10" fan. I use it in another room to bring in cool air before I shut the house up. Also ac/battery power was a factor in buying. The whine could be just me.

Not impressed at all and ordered 2 of them.

Only good in an emergency. Batteries go out fast and the D batteries cost so much money............... If you can just keep cool with cold cloths around your neck I think you would be better off.

O2Cool 10" battery powered fan model FD10101

I love the fan itself. It works well for my needs. I knew before purchasing that the AC adapter was not included & would need to be purchased separately. When I decided I wanted the adapter as well, I was unable to find it at all. I am thinking of returning this fan as I have found for a few dollars more the same fan with model # FD10101A comes with AC adapter included

Works Well...

This fan works well. Just didn't realise when I bought it that it didn't come with it's own AC power cord. Thankfully I had one that fits with an older fan of the same brand. Hence the 3 stars. If it came with the AC cord, probably would be 4 to 5 stars. Plus took forever to be ready to pick up at my local store.

1. Make sure you use name brand batteries like Energizer or Duracell. I've used the fan twice now, when the power went out, for a total of about 3 hours. It's still running strong. I estimate at least 6 or 8 hours on new batteries, probably longer.

2. No it does not.
by Mtbgirl7
3. No, the fan base is 9" deep.

4. bought good batteries, ran on high, and only had to change once during the week (stayed 7 nights)
by KrisC
5. Around 3-4 nights. We've used ours for 2 weekends (at night only) now and the batteries just now need to be changed because fan is not moving very fast.
