    Beautiful Bed but Hard Assembly
The fact that I gave this bed four stars but would not recommend it to a friend should tell you how conflicted I am about it. Up front I will tell you that once assembled the bed is gorgeous! I love the way it looks. It is also very well constructed and sturdy. In fact, if my house ever gets hit by a tornado, it would not surprise me if this bed is the only thing to survive! Both my daughter (whom I got this bed for) and I love the cubbyholes. It is put simply a beautiful addition to her room. If it's the look and sturdiness you want then by all means definitely get this bed, but be cautioned. The company itself places construction difficulty at about seventy-five percent on a scale of difficulty from "easy to tough". It took two capable adults with power-tools six hours to complete construction. At one point we had to re-drill a couple of holes because the cam-lock system would not work due to the fact the hole that the lock was to go into simply was not machined deep enough to engage the screw cam. One last note and this is the main reason that I would not recommend this product to a friend. This bed is extremely heavy and bulky! The first thing the instructions tell you is to construct this bed in the room in which it will stay. And for good reason! It comes in two boxes. One box is over ninety pounds, the other is over sixty; so in my estimation, that makes the fully constructed bed well over 150 pounds. I honestly do not think that it would fit though a standard doorway and I doubt it will be able to be disassembled/reassembled if we ever decide to move. I truly think it is now either a permanent fixture of the house or it will have to be destroyed to remove it.

    Didn't fit together at all
I got this daybed kit for the Spark Review program, and was very disappointed. All the pieces were there, but when we went to assemble it, the holes were out of alignment with the pegs and screws that were supposed to fit into them! One corner piece had a flaw, and flaked off where a screw was supposed to go into a locking cam! I wasn't able to drill new holes, because the old holes were only slightly off, and putting so many new holes might have weakened the structure considerably. As it is, I cannot use this furniture at all.

    Very substantial, very nice

This daybed is a much better overall product than I actually expected. The parts came in two cartons, both of which were very heavy, all the UPS person could carry alone. It definitely takes two people to do the build right. Build time with my husband and daughter took about 3 hours. There was one lockdown bolt that sheared off while being tightened and there was no spare of that part. However, it was in a section of the bed where it was not critical to have a lockdown bolt actually locked down, so he completed building it with no other real problems. The instructions are a bit lacking and all the smaller parts are in one lump sum bag which made finding the "alike" pieces a bit tougher. I bought a Zinus 8 Inch Hybrid Green Tea Foam and Spring Mattress for it, which fit perfectly. Standard twin everything fits great, although I intend to use the daybed as a substitute for a couch. I wish the back were a little higher, but with the right pillows, one can still sit upright quite comfortably. I used two Deluxe Comfort Microsuede Bedrest Pillows along with a body pillow and two Premium Plush Soft Cluster Fiber Filled Pillows. I topped everything with a king sized quilt (so I could "wrap" the mattress) and added matching shams. To complete the look I finished with a 17" drop elastic topped bed skirt. The 17" drop is not quite enough to cover the four open and generously sized cubbies under the mattress area, but it still looks neat and finished. I will which I will add baskets for storage later. Very pleased.

    very strong and durable

This frame is very strong and durable. The kids have climbed all over the frame with no problems and no scratches. I recommend this for all ages as a strong and durable long lasting bed frame.

the bed is great , my granddaughter loves it but it was awful putting together

Building is bad, and result is okay

Building this was horrible. It took 3 of us 5 hours to build and this is not the first piece of furniture we have built. Now that it is together it is exactly what we expected, except the cubes on the front are deeper than we thought they would be.

    I need a rest....

After dealing with this headache I needed a long overdue rest. I'd so much hardship dealing with this monstrocity. The boards were very heavy, some were unmarked, there were screws missing & the instructions weren't precise. You would start on page three and then continue with the same part you were working on, on page eight. You will definitely need two or three people and Bob Costas or Tim "The tool man Taylor" to help you through this task. The manual says that this item isn't designed with children in mind, in fact it states that it doesn't recommend this item for small children as it could present a hazard, worse yet, fatality. I wish that I known this beforehand as I've two small grandchildren who cannot benefit from this item outside of watching their favorite programs while being supervised, while their watching, because of the information that was on the instruction manual and not on the outer layers of either the two boxes that arrived. Had I'd known of the dangers and risk factors, I wouldn't have invested time, monitarily or in labor with this item. The clasps bag is flimsy as well as the pieces within it. It was split open inside of the box. The package holding the sharps was thick and held all the pieces in place. What's more it is advised to drill this wooden behemoth into the wall for safety. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

    HORRIBLE, DO NOT BUY

horrible bed , bought 3 years ago and had to move it and to do that you have to take it apart and now it is completely broken , can snap the wood in half with pressure, WOULD NOT BUY THIS BED , it is cheaply made, the only good thing about this is the cubbies and that it is cute.

    NIGHTMARE

This bed is a nightmare and I am very disappointed. I wanted to love it, from the photos it was exactly what we wanted. It is heavy and ridiculous to assemble. After 6 hours we realized it cannot even be assembed because the holes for the sides do not match up. Now we have to unassmeble it to return it to the store. UGH!

Listen, this is a disaster to build

So, you like Ikea style of furniture? Like Walmart low prices? Seems like a match made in heaven! Not!! The directions are not easy to follow. They are pretty much bad diagrams. There are no words describing how to assemble the bed. The parts are not pre sorted. It takes at least two people and several hours to put together. The pieces even arrived with chips in the vaneer. Oh, and expect the feet to be missing. Honestly, downloading a free DIY plan and building one yourself would be easier.
