This Notifi911 Mobil Medical Alert Pendant gives peace of mind to older people living alone and to the relatives who love them. It is a small black box that can hang as a pendent or can be clipped to your belt. The pendant strap can be adjusted to length. There are two buttons on the box. The large red button is the one used to contact the 911 operator in case of an emergency. Press the button for one second and a musical chime sounds and a blue light flashes. The pendant actually calls 911 and allows you to talk to the 911 operator through the speaker in the box.
The second button on the box is a smaller yellow button that allows you to perform a system check. Press the button and hold for 4 seconds and the the pendant says “Power on” followed by the version number. Then the pendant then preforms a battery check and says either “Battery OK” if the battery is over 25% or “Recharge battery soon” if the battery is under 25%. Then the pendant checks for a cellular signal and tells you if the service connection is OK . Then it will tell you if the battery supervision feature is on or not. Battery supervision checks the battery daily and lets you know if it is below 25 %. The supervision feature being performed daily, of course, affects how long the battery lasts between charges. With supervision on the battery needs charging every 2-3 months, with supervision off the charge will last 6-12 months.
Since the pendant contacts 911 directly there are no monitoring fees involved, which is a big savings. Also this allows your pendent to function almost anywhere as long as there is a cell signal.
