Didn't think this item would be just what I wanted. WRONG! This thing is great. Has strong and quiet motor. Looks really nice too. My old churn slowed way down when cream got hard. This thing hardly changed tunes, and the cream swelled all the way to the top. We love it so far. Would recommend this item to anyone.

This Ice Cream maker was an excellent buy. It has not froze up on me once. Not really that nosy. But to be honest with any Ice Cream Maker there will be some noise. This however is pretty quiet compared to the ones I remember when I was a kid. Inside the barrel is plastic which makes for easy clean up. The container for your ice cream is metal. All in all this is a great product for the price.

This is a practical and attractive product. The nostalgic-looking wood bucket is lined with heavy plastic, so the thing doesn't leak like the ones I remember as a kid (hence the "practical" description). My experience so far is limited to one batch of [fabulous] chocolate ice cream, so I don't yet know how this will hold up over the long run. It worked as expected, and wasn't as noisy as another brand (Oster) of electric ice cream freezer a friend has. The electric motor worked fine, but it's in a very lightweight housing, so I wonder about durability. However, even if it only lasts for a few batches the family fun and the genuine delicious ice cream make it worth the price.

I have never made ice cream before and I followed the easy vanilla recipe that was in the booklet. I cannot believe how delicious the ice cream was and how easy to make! It was soft-serve as it finished and froze well after I put it in the freezer. I've owned the maker for 3 weeks and have used it 3 times. Every batch came out perfectly. The bucket is wood and the machine is sturdy. I just bought another one to give to my sister (I hope she's not reading this because it's supposed to be a surprise.)
