This is really a great little steamer for the price. After a 24hr soak in cold water, I rinsed it off and have used it almost every day since. Its not big enough for a party, but if your doing simple meals for to to four its great. I did a Dim Sum last Sunday, and Salmon the day after, and veggies throughout the week. Really nice value and very easy to use.  Make sure to line the basket before use (I use cabbage or long lettuce, but parchment will do fine too) Clean it with warm soapy water when your done (don't put a bamboo steamer in the dish washer, ever) and its good to go for the next round of steaming.

Great little steamer.

I have used bamboo steamers for decades. Keep them oiled with a light olive oil and they last a very long time. 
They don't sweat like other steamers and food comes out tender and tasty. 
I recommend using the steamers sepetately and putting herbs in the water to flavor the food. 
Stacking them to steam fish and vegetables over lemon water with lemon pepper on the fish and veggies taste good!

I Love My Bamboo Steamer, My Mother -In Law Bought It For Us Years ago.  And So I Purchase Two Of Them And Send Each One To Both My Son's For Christmas. They Love Them Too. It  Steams so Perfectly Any Food that You Need To Be Steamed. Great Little Gift To Buy, & Send Someone You Love Too.
