'80s / '90s kid nostalgia

This is a dedicated handheld game (only built-in games, no support for adding more games) that includes three classic Zelda titles: Zelda 1 for NES, Zelda II for NES, and Link's Awakening for the classic Game Boy. These games were originally released long before we had touch-screen devices, tablets, etc. Back in those days, we had to use controllers with buttons and directional pads. So this device is strictly controlled by buttons, no touch-screen interfaces. Keep this in mind if you plan to buy it for children, because they may not immediately understand how to operate these kinds of games. The device also has a clock/watch function, so it's convenient to keep it in your pocket for keeping up with the time or using the device's alarm function. In fact, it's based on the old "Game %26 Watch" toys that Nintendo used to make back in the '80s. The idea back then was to make a practical substitution for a pocket watch, but also have a device you can play with on the subway, while sitting in waiting rooms, etc. Again, all of this was long before we had phones and tablets and similar distractions. The included games play exactly as they did back in the day. They use software emulation, which means you're playing literally the exact same games, no reprogrammed or recreated versions of them. The games allow you to do quick suspend states, which means the game saves your exact position and progress every time you power off the device so you can pick up where you left off next time you power it on. There are also options for screen brightness and volume control, but unfortunately no headphone jack, and no support for wireless/Bluetooth earbuds or anything like that. Also no WiFi support, so no kind of Internet connectivity, no apps, etc. I definitely recommend this for anyone who grew up with that generation of games, because they'll feel right at home with this. But it may be a harder sell with younger generations because the device doesn't have any of the standard features they've come to expect such as touch-screen and online connectivity. The games included have quite a bit of content and replay value, as these were games that people would need to play for days at a time to complete. This isn't like Mario Bros. where you run through a handful of stages, these games have you going on a multitude of quests, exploring very large dungeons and labyrinths, and collecting a lot of tools to help you solve puzzles and defeat increasingly stronger opponents.
