Awesome blender !

I have only had this blender for a weeks, but so far I love it. The control panel is easy to use, I like the safety features. If you don’t have everything put together right it will not turn on. It is so much better than other blenders I have used because I don’t constantly have to stop it and push the mixture towards the blades. The three blade design pulls the mixture threw and chops everything so no tamper/pusher tool is needed . Because the seeds and skins are completely pulverized you don’t have to use a strainer unless you do not like the texture . Depending on what you are blending, you may have to let it run a few minutes so that everything gets adequately mixed, but that's not a problem. My homemade Vegetable juice , fresh corn polenta and fruit smoothies came out smooth , creamy and delicious with no skins or lumps. Even after using it to make peanut butter the blades are still RAZOR sharp! Clean up is very easy nothing stuck in the bottom of the blender. I checked around a little and the Wal-Mart’s price is about $60 less than other places. And I like to use their site to store option to save on shipping.. Cons- It is rather large and bulky, so if you have a small kitchen, just know this is not compact in any way. It’s too tall with the jar in place to store on the counter top. The lid is tight at first and difficult to remove .I had trouble getting the pour spout lid to close, I think over time I will learn how to work with it better. I have had so much fun ! I can't wait to try more recipes maybe some from the included recipe booklet. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys cooking and creating delicious homemade meals for their family. I am quite satisfied with this blender!

A Wonderful Blender!

I have never fallen in love with a kitchen appliance before, but I think I have this time! From the day it arrived, I have used it over and over and now can't imagine not having it. I love the fact that it is so well-made, solid and easy to use; the size of the blender container makes it possible to blend large amounts and the way it locks onto the base and the base stays firmly in place on the counter are great as well. I have tried to find something wrong with it, but so far haven't. I am on a high-protein/low-carb diet, so I usually make a protein shake or smoothie every day, and making them in my other blender, I end up with chunks of fruit and/or ice, and generally there's a glass of the smoothie and at least another glass full of just froth, and it takes much longer to make. With the Ninja, it takes maybe a minute to mix and blend ice, frozen fruit, everything, and it always tastes much better. The split pea soup and potato soup were the creamiest I've ever made, and the pancakes were the lightest, fluffiest I've ever made. And everything is done so quickly. There's both a pulse setting and a dial with low, medium & high speed settings, and a little flashing light that lets you know if you've left it plugged in when not in use. The separate blades work great for blending, pureeing, chopping, making juices, sauces, peanut butter--much more than I have ever used my other blender for. The guide & instruction booklet that come with it are helpful, too; it includes not just the instructions for use, cleaning, storage, etc., but some recipes for everything from breakfast to dessert dishes, so I was able to try it out on things I might not have otherwise. I make my own pesto & hummus when I can, and usually use a food processor; I tried making hummus, and it came out great. The only caution I would give, would be to say to be very, very careful handling the top (removable) blades; the instructions remind you repeatedly about how sharp the blades are, and they really are. Just touching one when I was taking it out of the drainer after washing it, I nicked my finger--all my own fault, because I just wasn't careful enough, but it was enough to remind me to be very careful with them. I would also say that no one should leave it where children or anyone not really aware of how sharp the blades are could get to it or try to use it. But how sharp and strong they are is why it works so well. All in all, I can't say enough how much I like the Ninja, or how much I enjoy being able to use it. I really enjoy cooking, and this has been a great addition to my kitchen.

Great Blender for any Household

The Ninja Ultima Blender has proven to be a very good product, it replaces several kitchen tools including a food processor, mixer, and our baby food puree. I have used this product for about a week now and have made several wonderful meals and sauces with it, salsa was a breeze, the avocado dip I had made was awesome and with the included recipe guide helped with the rest of my wonderful food ideas, I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys the art and satisfaction of making your own healthy creations. the only disadvantage that I can recall is the lid, the lid was a little cumbersome to close but it's only due to creating a seal so its only a matter of time now to see how effective and lasting this product will be.

Very powerful blender

I have used this blender for smoothies with great success. I have also used it for making vegetable soup from the recipe booklet provided. It is very powerful and did a wonderful job. I have a KitchenAid 8 speed blender that cannot do what this one does. This blender is very large and takes up counter space, so best to store in a pantry area. It is very loud, but that is to be expected with the power it provides. The one thing I didn't like was the pour spout, difficult to open and no way to add additional items while blending. It was easy to unpack and assemble. The instructions were very clear. This is a great blender for heavy duty jobs and also for a quick milk shake. The lid and "jar" are dishwasher safe, so that too is a nice feature. All in all I would say this blender would be a great addition to a busy kitchen.

Love It!

This is a Big Powerful Blender. It will make smoothies from fruits and or veggies so smooth and creamy. You can mix cake mixes in it also! It will crush ice up to make koolaid treats for the kiddos too. I read three negative reviews and almost did not buy this. I'm so happy I didn't listen because I use this daily and Love it!!!! I have been making veggie and fruit smoothies for my Hubby and myself daily. I was a little concerned about the plastic pitcher. I was expecting glass. It's made good and strong! The gears are I'm thinking steel or medal and that's what a good blender needs. You can make a couple of days of smoothies at once and leave them in the fridge. Clean up is simple pour your smoothie or batter through the spout. Fill about half way with water and a drop if dawn put it back on the base and pulse it on high a few times then rinse it all well. When taking apart be very careful of the blades!!! You will learn fast if you touch one lol. Try not to hit the blades again objects also. If I can use this anyone can. There are tons of recipes online.

Best blender in my lifetime.

So, far my wife and I are very impressed with the performance of the Ninja blender. My wife and I are in our late 70s and have gone through a few blenders in our life. This blender will last the average user a lifetime, unless they are in a practice of crushing rocks.

Does a fantastic job.

This blender is powerful and does an excellent job. Bought it for my wife for her smoothies. It performs much better than our old blender. Only found two (2) drawbacks with it. Its very loud but then its twice the power of our old one. Second: After on week of use the top doesnt want to stay closed and must be held down with alot of force to make it work.

Does evertything I need at a better price

I am very satisfied with my new Ninja Ultima Blender. My reason for purchasing was to make smoothies to help remedy some health issues that I have including malabsorption problems. So far it has been a blessing and has performed well with any ingredients I have used. I did not want to pay $500 for a Vitamix or Blendtec For half the price I feel this does as good a job pulverizing veggies and fruits and nuts. Very happy and enjoying my smoothies which I feel are healthier than just juicing because of the retained fiber (unless one's condition requires strictly liquid nutrition). Easy to clean and use.

A blender that does all I expected

I received the Ninja Ultima a week sooner than the shipping indicated, which is a bonus in itself! As a blender/food processor, the smoothies, sauces, and purees come out perfectly. I find it easy to clean, but beware of the blades because they are sharp! A little caution and there should be no problem. Nuts are easily transformed into nut butters. I had to use my food processor before but I have two appliances in one with the Ninja.

So far....I love the Ninja Ultima

I have used the Ninja Ultima everyday for about 2 weeks and so far I am very pleased. I have been making fruit & veggies smoothies and I get a super smooth smoothie with not 1 lump. I have also been making banana "ice cream" using frozen fruit, frozen bananas & a bit of water and it comes out very smooth and creamy. I don't have 1 complaint on this blender. Cleanup is a snap, the container is a huge 72oz. the blade "stem" is very easy and safe to handle. I haven't had to use the high setting, medium seems to do the job. I start with a couple pulses then go to medium, and I love how it starts slow and gradually really gets moving, that's a great feature. This is NOT your average blender and if your on the fence you will be pleased with this purchase. For $200.00 its a GREAT deal It can not be beat.
