Paw Patrol Lookout Playset I received the Paw Patrol Lookout Playset today and was pleasantly surprised. This is a cute, colorful, and durable toy for the little ones! This playset is a great gift idea for kids that are Paw Patrol fans. The set includes an action figure and a car. Additional Paw Patrol characters can be purchased separately. Putting the pieces together was easy as everything snapped together. The playset features an elevator to take the figures onto a deck. The figures can then slide down into a waiting car. It sounds simple but kids will enjoy this toy and will stay busy for a while. In addition there is a periscope on top of the deck that swivels 360 degrees. The sound button with the Paw Patrol phrases is a nice touch. This toy is suitable for toddlers to pre-school ages to play with! In this day and age children of all ages do not know how to use their imagination to play. This toy no doubt will provide many hours of fun for the little ones in your life. This is a wonderful gift for any occasion, birthday, Christmas, etc. The size is perfect for little hands to push and pull and pick up. I have to say, I was first drawn to the colorful atmosphere which just spells fun!

Customer reviews & ratings
This play set is super cute and fun .Received this play-set for my 1 year old and 6 year old daughters and they just love it seeing their face expression when opening this was priceless. It was easy to put together the slide has 3 pieces that snap together. Which the slides falls off quite frequently unfortunately, despite the fact that the slide falls off all the time, the kids absolutely adore it. Please note: when fitting the pieces together, I did have to test them to make sure they were snapped into place or pushed together very well. Sometimes they seemed okay but when I looked closely I could see that some parts were a bit loose and could be tighter so I double checked everything and made sure there weren't gaps. Once that was done everything has remained nice and solid even when moved. Disappointed it didn't come with more figures but overall it's a very cute and fun play-set will be going to go buy the rest of the figures for this play-set Love that it plays the theme song and it does have quite bit sayings on it also which is a plus. As long as my kids are happy with it and they have fun it's good for me so I would recommend this Play-set.
Kids loved it
I'm not overly familiar with Pet Patrol, but the kids went nuts when they saw this playset. There were a dozen children here after trick or treating when I brought this playset out for the first time, and all I could hear is Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol. It"s a very simple set up with a wrap around slide, periscope, elevator, one vehicle and one dog play figure. There is also a light up Paw Patrol badge that makes sound . It took about 10 minutes to set up, mostly because of the wrap around three-piece slide. The slide kept coming apart and the playset kept falling over, but the kids still loved it. The Paw Patrol badge comes with batteries so you don't have to worry about those. Overall, I wasn't as impressed as the kids.
Decent playset for Paw Patrol fans
If your kids (or grandkids) are already into the Nickelodeon Paw Patrol show and on-line activities, this set is designed to let them live out their favorite character's adventures. If your kids have no idea what Paw Patrol is about, this may be lost on them. The is generally well made. The slide itself is a little tricky to assembly properly and prone to come apart with anything more than the most delicate touch. Other than the slide, this should hold up to normal preschool play on a regular basis. There is only one character that come with this set. If you are just starting out a child's collection, make sure you pick up a couple of additional character "friends" to add to the set. In short, I would recommend this set for kids that are already into the show and have some sort of idea how to use it to start with.
Set has some issues...
Setting up this Paw Patrol - Look-out Playset was quick and easy though I struggled setting up the slide which never seemed to engage to the tower in the right way. Be aware that the set comes with the look-out tower, Chase character and a patrol vehicle only, no other characters. I was surprised about this because the Nickelodeon cartoon is all about working as a team so I expected at least two characters as a starter, also considering the price. Be ready to purchase extra characters, especially if your child loves the show. However, my kids gathered other toys and cars and started playing with it right away. There are few features which will ignite a child’s imagination like the Paw Patrol badge alarm which makes sounds (batteries are included), the slide, the elevator and the working persicope. What bothered me and the kids while they were playing is that the tower easily falls down while playing with it which can be frustrating. This set might entertain a young child but I am guessing that the features which will be mostly used are the car and the character because I am seeing issues with the wobbly tower. I just wish the set came with more than one character because I honestly don't see much value for the price.
Toy Geared To Young Child
Right off the bat I like being able to push and test the product. The way the toy is packaged I am able to push the button and see what sounds it produces. I was even able to understand it without a problem. It also let me have the opportunity to view through the periscope. I can see kids enjoying that part of the toy especially my grandkids. By having the character and vehicle on the outside of the box is appealing as they are sturdy and not cheap looking. The characters are cute and not scary. I also like the way they demonstrate that the toy has moveable parts; an elevator that moves, slide and fire pole. I really like that they used cardboard to hold the toy in the packaging. I didn’t have to cut plastic and risk cutting myself. I can see younger kids enjoying imaginary play but older kids around 8 and up might not get as much enjoyment from the toy. Another annoyance is that it only came with one paw character and vehicle. Might have been nice to have two paw characters and one vehicle. Making me purchase another character right away makes me think twice about the price of the whole thing. The way the front of the box gives me the impression that there are more inside the box. After reading the contents it says it only comes with one character and vehicle. On the side and top of the box it shows the actual toy with a child playing with the one toy and vehicle. After viewing the photo doesn’t look like a lot of fun unless I had other small toys at home that I can substitute play with. The kid is nice and seems to look like he is having fun. The size and coloring of the warning hazard is nice and noticeable. The instructions are printed kind of small but the pictures made it a lot easier to assemble. With the size of print I wouldn’t even read it so if something is important for the assembly if not in the pictures I would miss. I like being able to read my instructions too. When I was following the pictures for assembly the first and second steps were confusing. The 2nd picture showed the top piece being inserted in a round hole on the front. Don’t bother looking for it if the red elevator platform is already on the toy like mine was. The construction of the toy wasn’t impressive in my opinion. The elevator was kind of hard to lift up and down easily so I can see a young child getting frustrated and just yanking it to move. Slide kept slipping out of the holders on the toy too. I would end up gluing it. The toy was interesting but I wasn’t impressed. I probably would not buy in the first place since it deals with a Nickelodeon product in the first place. My grandkids don’t watch the program but of course they don’t need to watch the show to be able to play with it. The price would be a big factor as since I find it geared to the young child set would not have a long playing time frame.
The Kids Like It
My kids do love playing with the Lookout Playset. It looks just like the one on the television program and a bonus it does comes one of the puppies and his vehicle. My husband put it together in less than 10 minutes, with only to need a Phillips head screw driver for one thing. The suggested age is 5+ but there isn't any small or removable parts so my three has fun with it as well, with supervision. But I didn't like a few things, one the slide comes in three pieces and they connect very well to the actual playset so it keeps coming a loose. The elevator in the back does not snap in place easily so it doesn't move and down with ease. And the whole playset is only the front so when you put the slide in place it seems to want to topple over, than after the kids start playing it, it starts to fall forward. Even though I personally only gave the set 1 star, the whole point is the kids and they Love playing with it.
Good, but not great. :(
Let me start at the beginning. When we looked at the outer packaging, this looked amazing! My boys were thrilled to play with something that looked so cool. As I started putting it together, I immediately realized a huge problem. Although I can read the fine print and see that it only comes with 1 (one) dog & vehicle... My boys saw the pictures of 5 (five!!) other characters on the front of the box. Oh man! As I put it together, it quickly became clear that the slide was going to be a problem. Without even playing with it, it kept coming out of the correct placement. The rest of the playset was easy to put together. It took a whopping 4 minutes for the slide to come off the look-out station. After fixing it about 10 times, I used some gorilla glue and the problem went away. The slide caused other problems too because the dog does not slide nicely. You have to sort of push him down. Not very fun. The look-out scope and the emergency badge that makes statements and sounds are both pretty cool. Luckily my boys have a great imagination, so they can overlook most of the issues that bug me. Overall, it is a good toy- I just really wish it was great.
Good for 3-5 year olds
My granddaughters are 4 and 7 years old. The four year old liked it but the older one kept telling me that it came apart and didn't do much. They had seen it advertised on tv and in catalogs. it would be helpful if there was a person included in the set because the dogs can't look out the periscope. The slide kept coming apart. The extra figures are at least $6 and the set is at least $30. In my opinion and the opinion of my older granddaughter it isn't very well made. She expected it to be like the advertisement and the dog slides down with no problem, the elevator stays up until manually put down and since we didn't have an action figure we could not evaluate the firepole. They both had fun for a little while with it and the younger one was happy running the dog around by itself in the car and playing with the set to some extent when I could get it to stay together-it was quite frustrating that the parts did not stay together better
Look-Out Play Set
The Nickelodeon Paw Patrol Look-Out Playset looked like it would be fun by the picture on the box. When you get it, the pieces you see pictured on the box, don't even come with it. The only thing that is in addition to the Look-Out center, is a truck, and a dog. I have included a picture. It was not that easy to put together, and doesn't seem to be made that well. The dog didn't go down the slide very well, and never did land in the truck bed correctly. It really isn't a toy I would recommend for bringing out a child's imagination either. After a few minutes of playing with this, the child gets bored. Now, this is just my honest opinion, and that is, I am sure, why you read the reviews. You read a lot of them, and get different opinions. Then you make up your own mind if you should purchase the item or not. I really wish I could say something positive about this toy, but I can't. I did not have to purchase it, and I am so glad I didn't, because if I did, it would be returned.
