Great 2 in 1, needs to be managed
I am a software engineer so I will be coming at this review from a very technical perspective. I really wanted a Surface Pro, however, they can be pretty expensive so this seemed like a good alternative. Overall, this has been a very nice tablet / laptop. I use it mainly to remote in to a work machine when I am traveling, working from home, or otherwise not in the office. It was done very nicely for this. The machine only has 2 GB of RAM when it really should have 4 GB. I think that most users will find the machine slow / sluggish because of it. If you take the time to 'fine tune' everything, and understand it's limitations, you can get by on 2 GB. Be very careful of the apps you install and be aware of their hardware requirements. Also, use EDGE as your browser. It's much better on resources than Chrome and Firefox (Chrome is pretty slow) and runs faster. The Intel Atom processor and 64 GB SDD have been plenty for me. In watching the performance, the bottleneck for me has been RAM. Like I said, if you can 'fine tune' this and if you can really pay attention to what apps you have and how they are affecting performance, you can get away with this machine. I think for the average user, this might be a difficult / slow machine to try and work with. This machine with 4GB of RAM instead of 2GB would be amazing.

Potential
I really wanted to succeed as nice and small, with 2 USB inputs, only 64GB internal but can use external SSD card which I did. But? something is wrong with their keyboard. I have great problems trying to type continual errors with their keyboard. It jumps around every time I try to type just a few words. Seems there is some kind of interference with the keyboard and the accidental touching of the touch pad controls. I want to return mine as I am quite frustrated with trying to type anything. YET? The price is really good; potential for operation is good. I had a 128 USB GB SSD drive in one of the 2 USB inputs. Wish I could recommend it but I really think it might be all my fault with problems. But a good friend of mine is also having the same issues. WE feel it is our thumbs touching the touchpad. But? Holding hands our hands HIGH and typing SLOW seem to partial problem.

Nextbook Flexx 11.6" 2-in-1 Tablet

I got this tablet for a few reasons. I own a piece build desktop PC that I use for a variety of reasons, from gaming to writing and I wanted this tablet so I could write on the go, download songs, surf the web, check emails, and use it for sheet music as well. You can but a Bluetooth page turner and it will flip the pages for you as you play the music. I have had no problems with this tablet so far. I read the negative reviews on this product before I bought it. This tablet works great if you use proper care of it and use it within the specs it will handle, i.e., you cannot do high end graphics editing or higher end gaming with it. For practical everyday use, it does very well. So far so good for me!

Good product for the price.

This is very handy and much less expensive than an iPad. I would recommend for someone in school or just for lounging around the house. I definitely love mine.

Great tablet.

Love the back lite keyboard, dual cameras, Cortina assistant and much better speakers than my last nextbook.

Super small computer with a small price tag

Upon receipt, I connected it to power up and turned it on. It did and has still functioned as well as my HP 21" All-in_one desktop and/or my iPads. I prefer to use it without the keyboard, but works well when the keyboard is attached. Great product at a great price.

"Nextbook Flex 11.6"

I have no complaint. Everything is working properly. See no reason why I should not get good service from it. Connecting and disconnecting keyboard-no problem. Quite satisfied. Clayton

Good for its price..

You should check its values (memory, RAM, CPU) first if you want to purchase. If you think these are enough for you, then you should note these too: - internet speed is low and it is really annoying when you are not in the room of your house which the wifi modem is. - its ports doesn't support External HDDs to work, maybe some of them can work, at least for me it is the biggest problem now. It means your file transfers will be late. + but the performance is good, battery usage is good (for me), simply the battery needs more time to be full. If any of these things that I wrote may be problem with your work and some operations, don't buy it. If these are enough for you, these Nextbook is really good choice.

Not bad for the money but has a MAJOR defect.

Screen looks nice, basic but fast enough z3735f Baytrail Intel CPU. Runs at 1.33 GHz with 1.8 GHz Burst. The tablet part is great, well built and a great deal for the money, except the keyboard is flawed in so many ways. Right out of the box I had problems getting the keyboard to stay attached to the tablet, Its just not that its locking on, its the 5 pin connector that isn't staying connected enough, I don't see how this could ever work correctly for anyone unless I just got a bad one. The touch pad is horrible.. Why does it have left side and right side clicking underneath, I've never seen this before on any touch pad its very annoying. If your moving your finger to the right you have to move it back to the left to left click on something. Back light is around the keys and not under the letters like it should be.

I bought 2, both had problems

I bought 2, both had problems. One had a messed up Pixle. The charger would not work on the other one. It looks great and the light up keyboard is cool but no good if it does not work properly. I returned both.

1. You most assuredly can, but not out of the box. You would need to acquire a USB mobile connection device from your provider, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. In response to WhatAreYouLOOkingAT, this device is in no way slow or underpowered. It performs VERY well at everything it does. He didn't take into account that the core storage is solid state, so everything on it runs FAST.
by MacGyvr
2. The Nextbook Flexx only supports Wi-Fi connection. Just like the free Wi-Fi access that some coffee shops and other places has for their customers. If you have a smartphone check with your carrier as some carrier plans comes with free hotspot. Which means you can use your smartphone as a mobile Wi-Fi connection which the Nextbook can connect to for internet access.
by MadShady
3. No, this will not use cell towers.
by CommunityAnswer
4. absolutely NOT, This is a stripped down anemic underpowered PC running Windows 10. It has no features of a cell phone or Android tablet. The cell phone in your hand, even if it's five years old ... has more computing power than this sadly slow running tablet.

1. The answer is both yes, and no. Yes, Photoshop will most likely install, and run. Will it run well? No. Photoshop is a very complex and powerful program and it needs a powerful system. This is not a powerful Windows PC, this is a tablet. If you need Photoshop, then you need to look at something else.

2. This item will run Windows 10 compatible programs that fall within the hardware specifications.

3. Yes, and very poorly. This has a painfully slow CPU designed for Android instead of Windows and whether Office 360 or localized Office installs..... you'll hate it. Those assertions aren't my own, CPU boss compared this latest Intel Atom against the oldest Pentium it had stats for and it still ranked half as fast as an obsolete 2008 PC. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core2-Duo-SL9400-vs-Intel-Atom-Z3735F

4. NO, even the stripped down "Essentials" versions of PS won't successfully install without massive tweaking and pain But performing any tasks, even opening a previously saved *ps file becomes a risky gamblers endeavour and importing a JPG / PNG for edit..... is a great moment for coffee break and errands by the time it finally finishes import and layering.

1. Some poor information was given in at least one of the answers below, so to clarify. The system has 64GB of storage, and 2GB of RAM. 2GB is MORE than sufficient for this system because the rest of the drive is also solid state and will be used as needed if RAM overflows. I have one of these devices and you would NEVER guess that it only has 2GB of RAM. I have it running LARGE apps like Adobe Photoshop and the full MS Office suite, and even running apps at the same time, it runs effortlessly, and sometimes better than my desktop with 16GB of RAM. WhatAreYouLOOkingAT meant well, but having not experience with the device, his comment is essentially useless.
by MacGyvr
2. The Nextbook Flexx 11.6" has 2GB of system memory. It has 64GB of built in storage but Windows takes up some of that space out of the box you will have around 53GB. It does have a micro SD card slot which supports upto 64GB micro SD cards. So you could buy a 64GB micro SD card and install more programs on that if needed. You will just have to remember not to remove the card.
by MadShady
3. This unit has 2GB system memory and 64GB of storage internally.
by CommunityAnswer
4. 2GB max, woefully inadequate for Windows 10 and nonupgradeable, the Intel Atom is technically constrained down to 2GB 2Gigs of RAM was the widely accepted standard back in 2006
