Very Quiet, Good feel, exceeds my expectations.

I bought these tires to put on a new 2015 Altima. I replaced the factory 16 inch tires with 18 inch wheels. I was concerned about losing some of the great ride with the Altima by reducing the sidewall height by half. I knew these Nexen tires were a gamble because of low price, I think 104.00 each for 235/45/18. I priced tires from this price range up to the 300. each range. I'm very impressed with this tire. its at least as quiet as the factory continentals that had about 500 miles on them before switching. It has not impacted my fuel economy unless its been favorably. I have about 5000 miles on these so I can not speak to how long they will last, currently they still look new. Wet weather driving is confidence inspiring, no issues. If I had to say anything negative it would be a tendency to wonder and more noise when driving on grooved ( in the driving direction) pavement. But no different than other cars and other tires in my experience. I'm not sure if the "plus" in this tire name or merely a gimmick or its a better or improved tire, perhaps some of the negative reviews were no the "plus" tires. If I needed tires tomorrow I would purchase these again.

Had 2 sets, neither met the tread wear warranty

I have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited. 80% of my driving is on the highway. I've had 2 sets of these Nexen N5000 Plus tires on my car. Neither set lasted more than 35,000 miles. I'm religious about tire rotation (every 5,000 miles) and proper inflation (check the tire pressure every month), and I have very conservative driving habits....yet with 2 different sets, these tires did not come anywhere close to the 65,000 mile tread wear warranty. Not a bad performing tire, fairly quiet and smooth and good in rain, but they just don't last, even when you take excellent care of them. On the plus side, Walmart honored the tread wear warranty on the first set (which is why I bought the second set). Because of their good customer service and honoring the warranty, I'm buying my next set of tires from Walmart....but I'm switching to a different brand.

Came with car thought they were premium

I thought these were premium performance tires. The original set came with a volvo V70R and I have always been impressed how well they perform in terms of braking, cornering, and bad weather, so that when time came I decided to replace them with the same type. To my surprise they were more economical than some of the mainstream brand options. Would absolutely recommend these tires. In the past I've had GY Vivas, Douglas Trac, Bf Goodrich, Sumitomo, Michelin and Khumo on different cars. If you don't care about expenditures, I like the Michelins the best, but this one is less than half the comparable michelin and I am getting about 80% performance in comparison. Admittedly, the car does a lot for the tire, but yours probably does too.

Glad to be Buying a Second Set!

I bought a set of these tires for my wife's Mazda 6 a little over 2 years ago. My wife drives 80 miles or more each weekday, round trip, for work. Not to mention all the other driving for errands, groceries, vacation trips of 500 to 1000 miles, etc. So to get over 50,000 miles on a set of tires is unheard of these days, unless you drive mostly smooth interstates. These are excellent tires for traction, handling, and minimum road noise. If you seriously do a comparison of tread design with other, more expensive, brand name tires you'll discover these are the best tires for the price. If you're only getting half the tread life on any tire, you probably have other bigger mechanical problems or may need to just slow down.

    Meet more than expectations!!!

These tires a well worth there money! We bought a set for our 2005 Maxima and they handle like no other tire we have ever own before. There is no road noise and the are very comfortable. here is nexen's website for all the specs http://www.nexentireusa.com/tires/passenger-tires/n5000plus. I would recommend these tires to anyone, next time we have to buy tires we will be going with these again. Also you can't beat the 500 treadwear and the 65,000 mile warranty.
