Love this Baja Buggy! It is bigger than the other one that I had which makes it dinner to run all over. You can actually see it so you can drive it around a lot more and you don't have to stay right on top of it. It makes it easier to drive it up and down the sidewalk and out in the road. The blue color is just right, not dull or to flashy, so that makes it even easier to see when you are running it threw th e grass and you don't have to worry about spinning out on the grass or having the grass get caught in the buggy somewhere. The controller is pretty easy to run and I ghink this makes a good remote control vehicle for a beginner to learn with especially if they are interested in going into the bigger remote control vehicles. I would definitely recommend it, just to have fun. I am going to get another one so I can races with whoever stops by.

Grandson loves it.
There is nothing like the smile on a child's face and that's exactly what happened when I gave this to my 5 yo. grandson. He plays with this every day and my daughter says he comes in the house and says "charge it please".
So far it keeps on going somehow despite the abuse I know it's getting.
What a wonderful toy.
A really tough looking, fun remote control car.
I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and was sent a free New Bright 1:8 Radio Control Baja Trophy Buggy in black to review. This car is large. It is about 14” long and 6” high. The colors look cool with it being black/gray/bright green. It is light weight and easy to handle. It comes with a lithium battery pack installed in the bottom of the car. In the bottom trap door is a USB cable for easy charging. You can attach the USB cable to your computer, or your own adaptor to plug into a car outlet, or wall outlet. The vehicle will go forward, in reverse and turn left or right going in forward and reverse. The controller is similar to a video game controller with two toggle sticks and requires batteries which are included. The “run time” of the car is between 20 to 24 minutes and the charging time is about 2 hours. It is winter in my area so testing the vehicle was done in the house. I used our basement area so we would have a surface that wasn't carpeted and a little room to move. The car is pretty fast and it moves smoothly with the controller. The buggy has larger wheels and we played around with using a few flatter books and it went over them nicely. Our neighborhood has sidewalks and I have no doubt that it will clear the uneven sidewalks just fine. I like that the lithium battery is enclosed so kids don't have access to it and that the USB cord also gets enclosed in the trap door under the car. The car body is made of plastic so you do need to be a careful not to crash the car into things. There are warnings on the package about the lithium battery so please make sure your children are aware of the dangers, to not have the car run in water/snow and not to disrupt the battery. I really like this car and think it would be a great gift for kids and adults.
Very Cool Remote Control Car
This remote control Baja Buggy is a product of New Bright Industries. It comes with a lithium battery installed in the buggy and a couple of AA batteries for the remote. It has a USB cord permanently attached to the underside of the buggy which sits in an enclosed compartment. It can be charged up on multiple devices. It comes in four different colors and 2 different styles. I got the blue one. It is a 1:14 scale for the size, which I think is a good sized car for remote control. I couldn't believe it when I saw in the instructions that it has a wheel alignment in case it pulls to the left or right when you are driving it forward. The instructions are easy to read and understand. When I hooked the USB up for charging, I used a small USB cube (usually for a phone charger) that plugs into a wall outlet. It worked with that just fine. You could also hook it up to your computer for charging. It is easily cleaned if it should get dirt trapped in the wheels or body. It was easy to operate and fun to play with. I would highly recommend this remote control car, keeping in mind that it is recommended for ages 6 years and up.
The RC Baja Full Function Radio Control Baja Buggy is by far the best radio controlled vehicle that we have had at our house so far. We have gone through 6-7 vehicles. Some have lasted a few weeks, others have lasted a few hours. This Baja Buggy was ready to use right out of the box. Batteries were included and charged. The vehicle contains a lithium battery and the transmitter holds 2 “AA” batteries. This has a lithium battery which seems to last longer and charge faster. It is charged via USB. It can be charges from any device that has a USB port. There is no external antenna to get broken. I definitely like that as some of the other radio controlled ones we have had the antennas broke within the first few hours. The vehicle has a fast response, longer range and can handle terrain better than the others we have had. My grandson took it outside and was driving it over small sticks and rocks without any difficulties. He is nine years old and loves to run it into things. It has held up very well. He was impressed. I would very much recommend this.
Great looking Baja truck!
I'd like to start with saying, this thing looks so cool. The wheels and body are spot on and everything just looks great and super cool. However, I would only recommend this for a younger child, I'll explain later. My intentions were for this to be for my 6.5 year old son but ultimately my 4 year old daughter ended up with it and it's her favorite because she can easily control it. Why? Because it is not a fast vehicle. Some may see it as a negative, and it is for an older child that is good with remote control cars but it's an absolute positive for a younger child learning. She was always crashing our other vehicles because she couldn't respond fast enough with the controls before smacking into a wall or other object including people! With this one, she can actually control it confidently and enjoy the hobby! Aside from that, it's super easy for her to just plug it into our many usb plugs around the house and knows when the red light turns off she can use it again. I love it because it literally requires no input from a parent! and I dont have to worry about her destroying it or hurting someone with it. It's ready to go out of the box so you dont need to buy anything. It comes with 2 AA batteries for the remote and usb cord tucked away under the body to charge the built in lithium battery. So if you're looking to buy an RC for a little one with no experience, I would highly recommend this model as it will give them confidence and prepare them for the faster vehicles when that time comes! Thanks New Bright!
Baja Buggy- Yes!!
First let me say that the fact that this r/c is rechargeable makes it worth every penny in my book! It has great distances, easy steering
Good sturdy toy for the price.
Fun for little ones
This car was bigger than I was expecting, looks really cool and my little guy loves it. Right out of the box I loved that I did not have to install any batteries, only needed to charge it via the attached USB cable (this is hard wired into the car, it is not removable, but is enclosed in the battery case) and after about 2 hours of charging it was ready to go. I would say the speed is quick, not super fast, but fast enough for little ones to love it and still be able to control it. We took it outside and it did great on pavement, on and off sidewalks and up and down drive ways, can't speak for it going on grass since we do not have any, but I don't think it is recommended on grass or sand. As far as distance it had a good range, I would say safely close to 100 feet as long as you stayed in it's sights. The body of the car is VERY light weight and he did crash it a couple of times, but thankfully it held together fine. The controller is very basic and even comes with the batteries, however to me they seemed very cheap and light weight so I just put in some trusted name brand ones. The run time we got from a full charge with non-stop play was right at 35 min before it quit and had to be recharged. Overall I am happy with this car, for the price I think it is a great car for little ones who are learning how to operate remote control vehicles and will build confidence because it is very easy to control.
Great starter truck for my little guy who can't quite control it at higher speeds yet. Wouldn't recommend it though if you plan on going off the pavement with it. Battery only lasts about 15 minutes, but that's usually just long enough, and then easily rechargeable! A fun little ride! Just not quite as good as the Rock Crawled New Bright puts out.
