True to size, very comfortable . Good arch support. Enough room in toe box and orthotics fit in easily. Will be purchasing other colors.

I have bought 928s for years because of the arthritis in my feet and because I have flat feet. However I had read reviews that said the version 2 and version 3 were not as good; the toes were too narrow and the tongues were too short. I am happy to report that my version 3 has plenty of toe room and the tongue is plenty long for me. The rest of the shoe is just as comfortable as my previous ones! (Now if only they would make them in brighter colors.)
Thanks New Balance
I have worn this shoe for years - since it was the 925. It is wonderful that New Balance listened to its customers. I was unable to wear 928v2 because of the changes from v1 - mostly the narrower and lower toe box. I am so happy that when New Balance made v3 they returned to the features of v1 that made it such a great shoe. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my feet are misshapen. I need the larger toe box. I am still wearing my ancient pair of 928v1 shoes because I could not find a shoe that fit as well. I just received my new shoes and they fit great. It will be good to retire my v1 shoes after years of service and wear my new 928v3 shoes! Thanks New Balance!
Comfortable and roomy for my toes
I have very wide feet and a narrow heel. I also use orthotics for my very flat feet. I was so relieved when I got these in the mail, tried them on and they actually fit and were comfortable. After searching and trying on shoes for months, I finally found a shoe that makes my feet happy.
Bought this shoe to try & find similar New Balance walking shoe to my old ones. I will be returning shoe since the fit is too wide. My normal size was 7D in any style of new balance before this year. This is a second exchange - apparently they changed the width of the shoes.
The exterior of the 928 that I bought looked great and durable. However the interior of the shoe is not robust enough and I wore a hole through in about three months of relatively light wear. You would think with the experience of this company they could design a shoe that would stand up to the type of use for which it was intended. Examine the inside of the shoe carefully and you will see what I'm describing. Doesn't matter if the outside lasts forever if the inside, which comes into contact with your foot, falls apart.
I wear AFO braces and the 928 was my go to shoe for along time. Had problems with v2 when the toe box area was narrowed. That problem has been fixed with v3 but now the shoes squeak with every step I take. I tried 2 different pair to make sure it was not a fluke the first time. Sorry New Balance I am now a Brooks girl.
