As someone who purchased this device approximately six months ago, I was excited about the potential energy savings and convenience it promised. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment when I realized that the Ecobee had numerous issues that made it an unreliable and frustrating device to use.     Great product and support!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple to install. The wiring instructions are clear and easy to follow. The ecobee app does a lot to walk you through the install and setup process. I had an issue where I made an incorrect choice during setup and support quickly walked me through fixing it using the chat feature. No phone call needed. Great product and support!

    I love this thing! Solved a few problems.

    This wonderful little gadget solved two problems. My thermostat was too close to a TV, and when you turned on the TV, the heat would confuse the old thermostat, and the house would get colder. Second, my old thermostat didn't have the extra wire. This came with a workaround, so I was able to finally install a smart thermostat. I bought extra smart sensors, and those have made things work even better.

    Nice Smart Thermostat

    Really happy with the new Smart Thermostat Premium. Straight forward install and the remote sensors seem to have a more solid connection back to the thermostat than the sensors with my old Ecobee 3 thermostat ever did. I like the addition of air quality monitor. The one gripe I do have (and this isn't specific to just Ecobee, but all manufacturers) is the integration of smart home platform hardware (Alexa in this case) into the device. Now don't get me wrong, I appreciate the ability to integrate with the various smart home platforms but personally, I wish they'd leave the integration at the software level rather than embedding specific smart home platform hardware into their thermostat. Yes, I know I don't have to link it to Alexa. I know ...
