This product WAS simple to install vs my DVR 4 camera outdoor setup. Took less than 2mins and the setup n the site to create the account and app took less than 5mins.. Quick, simple and ease We travel frequently and have the outdoor of our home covered but wanted this setup to cover the inside. With some breakin's happening more and more we wanted that extra coverage. I love the APP as you can you control the camera (Snap shot o Video) and timing as well as look at a live view. It's the little detailed features that they didn't miss when building this product and the software. Great job and great product!!!

I was leery of shucking out 300 bucks for an experiment but the lure of a wire free security camera system was too good to pass up. I have had the 2 camera system for just over a week now. I have been testing and retesting them and happily I can report the system works great. I have one camera under my garage and the other inside the house. I get an email anytime motion is detected via the 5 dollar a month vuezone plan I signed up for. So for the only annoyance is a little bird that seems interested in the camera lol. Bottom line is if your older or just no so technical the system is a great solution and though the picture isn't crystal clear it does do exactly what you need and that is to let you know if anyone is messing around your home while your away.

Very easy setup. Was up and running in less than 10 minutes. App to view the cameras was a little buggy at first but no issues since.

This cameras were easy to set up (no wires to run) and provide very good pictures or videos of what is happening in your home. The motion detectors even pick up my cat's movement. You will need the night vision/infared camera if you want to see what is happening in the dark (without lights on). It would be nice if NETGEAR offered a 110 volt adapter for this cameras. I have had my cameras installed with a 70% sensitivity setting for about two weeks and they have provided hundreds of motion detected recordings and I still have some battery left. I just wish I could view live/real time events.

Easy to install. Small and compact. Works right out of the box. With the camera's now installed we have piece of mind and can check in our our elderly dog anytime. A good product for the price. An addition to our security as well. For the price the product is as advertisied.

The cameras lack "Auto-Iris" which means you have to set the exposure daily as the sun comes up, or at nightfall. You can not "mask" areas (such as the street traffic). It eats batteries (a pair of CR123A) like candy at $7 a pair.It quite often loses sync and has to be restarted, does not tell you a camera has died (dead battery) and it falses like crazy.Distance from the base stations is limited, can only record ONE camera per base at a time...so when the camera over your driveway triggers, the other cameras go blind and you can NOT watch them remotely while this is happening. If you set the time to 90 seconds, you will receive a email..but cant watch it! There is NO SUPPORT for this device!! It has evolved to what it is and has reached a dead end. No improvements for the past year.It is subject to interference on the 2.4Ghz band, so if you place it near ANYTHING (like a baby monitor/Wireless LAN/cordless phone/wireless speaker/alarm system) you can bet it will cause you grief. The design is OLD (Jan 8,2011) and has not been updated. It is obsolete, Vuezone/Netgear knows this and has no intention of supporting this product.Cameras have improved a lot over the past 3 years. The people at Vuezone have been friendly, but this is not a "Surveillance" device by any means. It's fine for a "Doggy-Cam" but forget it as a home security device, a waste of money. We now use ours as a toy for our Pembroke Welsh Corgi...we toss or roll the camera and keep the videos from that playtime. Yes it's an expensive "ChewToy" but thats all it's good for.Repeated calls to Netgear/Vuezone has resulted in little assistance, product has never lived up to it's description, nor can it with the current firmware it uses in the cameras and base stations. Please realize this is a "Dead End" product and it is "what it is".I can't rate it lower than 1 star.

  • A. NOT LONG! It uses 2 CR123A batteries that cost between $7 and $10 a pair.Depending on how often you use it, you can eat a pair of them in a week....if your good about it..maybe 2 weeks. When the battery goes dead you wont know until you discover that it's no longer doing it's job. After you replace the batteries you will have to re-sync it...means you have to take it down and open it up...bring it over to the base station..press a button on the base and switch on the camera at the same time....

  • A. I do not have a specific answer to this question. However, I installed my cameras on February 27 2014 and have them on active motion detection setting, 24/7 and the charge holds at fully charged to this date March 13, 2014. The cameras have been actively recording events throughout the day as multiple people have been in the home throughout the day and night due to family illness. So the cameras have been in use recording actively for two weeks. I do not think a flashlight battery could be on for two weeks and hold a charge that long. This is just my own personal experience so far with the system. Hope this helps. Otherwise send an e-mail to the manufacturer and get their insight. I believe it all depends on the health of the battery you get when you buy them. Good luck
