  • A. No, you hold the sides up until it gets a certain amount of water in it and then they will stand on their own.

  • A. No, it's a bendable vinyl. The sides are bendable and the bottom also. The bottom is a softer vinyl, easy to slit.

  • A. I would say no. A dogs nails could puncture the vinyl lining. Plus if it is a larger dog, they may jump in and out and cause a side to collapse and the water to drain out. The sides want to collapse as it is- it is a poorly designed pool.

I previously had the 6' model of this pool and wanted to upgrade to the 8'. I found it on Amazon, but the price was quite a bit higher and included shipping (wasn't available on Prime). I'm glad I did some research and found that Walmart stocks this pool. At 8' diameter, my two young sons have a good amount of room to play in this pool on our patio. My wife and I even join them on hot days. Setting up is simple. Just need to make sure you get the floor stretched out early and then wait for it to fill. The sides are very sturdy once the water level is almost full. I had this type of pool when I was a kid, I'm glad they still make them. It's such a convenient way to easily set up a decent lil pool on a hot summer day.

Upon putting this pool together you need plenty of hands and it is easy. My grandkids held up the walls while sitting in the pool while filling. But the pool only lasted a few days before it began to leak. The patch worked for a few more days but it began leaking again. The kids were so disappointed. It holds a lot of water however and would be great if it was more sturdy. We returned it and bought an easy set small pool which is lasting just fine.

When I bought this, it was only $12 in store on sale. So it was even more of a steal. We took it home and set it up in about 5 minutes. It does take a while to fill up, but that's nothing to complain about, considering how much room you end up having. I'm 8 months pregnant and sat in the pool with plenty of wiggle room shared between myself and three others. We even took the pool to the beach and set it up under an umbrella for me. Even sitting on shells and being dragged across the sand, it didn't get the tiniest leak -- and I fully expected it to! The walls are flimsy until it's starting to get a considerable amount of water in it, but then they're plenty sturdy. My baby cousin had a blast running and jumping over the walls and making a big splash. Putting it on level ground makes it more comfortable, and capable of holding more water. I overall was very pleased with this product. The value for the price is unbeatable. I'll continue to use this for relaxation and recreation all summer long:]

Great Little Pool

My daughter is 7 we live in a apartment so we wanted a little pool for the patio and this is awesome! I don't get the negative comments because this pool is durable if both you and your kids take care of it properly. I do have a suggestion for those who live in apartments and want this on there patio I would suggest you buy those big FOAM letters that form a mat and a small tarp for under it to soften your patio floor surface. We layed out the tarp first then but two layers of the foam letters on top followed by the pool this made the floor of the pool very soft and safety concerns were much less. Like I said this is a awesome pool my daughter is older being 7 yet she enjoy it sooooo much! It can fit around 3 kids in it . We love it and are happy with this purchase and recommend this to anyone who wants a small pool for there kids to cool off in or who live in apartments and are looking for summer fun ideas for there kids..

Customer has been confirmed to have purchased the item from Walmart.

Years ago, I purchased a Snap-set pool for my then 5-year old son (he's 35 now). He loved it, and we got a couple of summers worth of use out of it. I thought I would do the same for my now 5-year old granddaughter. Boy, how time has changed the way items are manufactured...the quality of workmanship, anyway. The first pool I purchased, immediately got a hole in the side from all our tugging and pulling to try and get it set up. Thinking this was our fault, I did not return the pool. Instead, I ordered a second pool! This one did not get a hole, but it's still very difficult to set up. Someone on-line suggested using milk jugs filled with water to help keep the walls up while the pool is filled with water. This works. I'm hoping to at least get to use this pool the rest of the summer without incident. It's so unfortunate that things aren't made with the same quality they used to be. Will think twice before buying another Snap-set pool. Most definitely would not recommend to a friend.
