I bought these cups for my 10 month old twins - they did great! I was looking into the Zoli straw sippers, but didn't want to spend more than $10 per cup to find out if they would work for my kiddos. These did the trick just as well and were much more wallet friendly. The only draw-back (but with any straw cup with a valve you'll have the same problem) is that the liquid left in the top of the straw after the child takes a drink will drip out. The amount of drippage isn't great, and it's not a big problem for us. The cups are otherwise leak free. Despite having a valve they do not require too much sucking to get liquid out (which is a common complaitn with many straw cups). I love this cup and would totally buy it again.

BEST SIPPY CUP EVER
My daughter absolutely adores this cup! From the moment I first let her try it out she loved it and does not want to use any of her other cups any more! I really like the fact that it does NOT leak at all!!! Absolutely amazing! Also the weight at the bottom of the straw is great because my 2 year old does not understand that tilting a cup with a straw means the drink may not come out. So it was a major plus for the straw to have a weight at the bottom of it. The next amazing thing for the parent is that it comes with a a cleaning brush for the straw!!! I found this to be absolutely amazing, it is rare to find a cup with the cleaning brush coming with it. Overall I love this cup and so does my daughter. My only wish for it is that it would be offered in bigger sizes for kids that tend to drink more. Disclosure: I received this product complimentary from munchkin for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own and I hope they help you with your purchasing decision.
With my second child, this was his first cup. I thought teaching a baby to drink from a straw was going to be difficult, but it really wasn't. I like that they don't leak! Make sure to unwrap the weight from packaging. These were highly recommended in Baby Lead Weaning groups and that was a common problem some moms were facing.
Great for an active toddler
I cant begin to say how satisfied I am with this product, this cup was originally purchased to substitute our then, baby's bottle when he was about 11 months. We were on a family trip to San Antonio, TX and thought it was a great idea to get him a sippy cup for the road and he was soon turning a year old and as soon as he started walking was when we realized what an awesome purchased we had made.. the weighted straw makes them able to drink at any angle!!! When I say any angle i really mean any angle... EX: he was laying down completely and i guess he thought it was his bottle.. so he turned the cup completely upside down and was drinking perfectly fine while watching TV LOL it doesnt leak which is very important to me because of my beige carpet in my living room! The only problem I had was the top that hides away the straw completely popped of the second my toddler started banging on the cup from his high chair.. but we never needed it so we are very happy!! Ohhhh and did i mention it comes with a brush to wash the inside of the straw?? Veryy handy no other cup comes with that!! Not even dr brown that by the way leaks all over the place!!
Do not reccomend!
Buy this cup if you dont mind milk, water, or whatever else soaking the floor and getting all over the place. Even when the lid is closed, it still leaks by just sitting upright. Putting cool liquid in it and taking it outside to warmer temperatures makes it basically explode. Not to mention the straw is super hard to clean.
terrible, hard to suck from and leaks
my daughter has a hard time sicking through the state even know we pinched it to "activate" it. Leaks constantly, just sitting on the counter it leaks from the straw. Not worth the money sadly, I really liked the thought of the whole cup but this is a annoying flaw.
Use These cups of you like a mess
you may as well have any liquid in a regular cup. I've thrown two away because the liquid in the cup come up through the straw and leaks out and that has wasted so many cups of juice. Complete inconvenience and a waste of money. I shouldve added pictures but I tossed them already. I bought 3 of these cups by the way, followed the instructions and still...
I purchased this sippy cup because I thought the idea of having a weighted straw would be wonderful. I found more cons than pros after making my purchase. Once in a while when my son would drop the cup, the cover part would pop off. Not every time, but this happened often enough to get frustrated. Another con, for me, was the brush for the straw. It works just fine but DO NOT drop this straw in your sink or down the drain it will go. This brush is about the size of a coffee straw (very thin). Another con that I had was when my son drank from the cup the straw would keep leaking the liquid out after my son put the cup down. It would keep leaking the liquid out and drip down the cup. I had to constantly be cleaning up after he would drink out this cup. I just got so frustrated with this sippy cup and ended up disposing it and purchasing another totally different sippy cup for my son. I DO NOT recommend this product.
